My understanding is (...I am a member at SVR...) no sanction, no cards required. $5 gate fee for all adults and kids that are racing...other kids are free. Sign up usually is open right up 'til the parade lap starts...but I would get signed up before that. The barrel race is going to use the normal horse barrel race layout (like at the county fair)...so it's going to be a 20 second +/- race! I think there will be a limited number of sign-up spots for the barrel race (everyone does the circuit individually...timed), so there may only be 20 or 30 or however many they have time for between HS races. Everything sounds fun to me and the prizes donated so far for the raffles are outstanding!

SVR has no sanction fees. $5 gate fee and $25 to race is all. Another $10 if you want to try the barrel race which I will explain below. Also raffle tickets are $1 each. No need to show up early, sign up is open until the riders meeting at 1230.

Basically it's just like a rodeo barrel race. We were thinking of fun ways to raise money and members commented on how fun barrel races were at chillitown so we thought this was the perfect opportunity to give it a try.
