Ain’t just Ohio moto that’s dead

Moto ain't dead that's goofy. My sons been riding since he was 4 and now he's 31. Guys like that are the glue for the sport whether they race or just practice. The day he quits I concede it's dead.

Hold just got a text. Al just told me he sold his 450 over weekend and Sprinter sold today. Brought '17 ride home today better for baby car seat and golf clubs.

Yep it's dead.

He’ll be back, they ALWAYS come back

Not really.

Hey TEAM186, keep my name out of your mouth... I ain't going anywhere... just refocusing.

Pretty sure I'm dropping more money then most. The finished product.. a Carmichael #70 KX125 replica. Been slowly working on this thing for almost two years. Really didn't do much this year, but hopefully picking it back up this winter and spring.

Coming to a open practice day near you...

Uh the YZ in back is mine. Which I don't ride someone I know rode '89 YZ at VMD and his emig bike in the team186 family bike buildoff race day challenge. Kinda SR vs JR thing.

YZ has national championship plate. Emig bike got a towstrap and ride to pits.

Point. Is that RC 125 just gonna just look pretty or actually run for 8 laps.

And 2, I'll sell the YZ but the money goes to my grandbaby's college fund. Make offer.

Alex186 this post called a checkmate.

Whose your daddy....

Your going to need one of those "Blue Buffalo" front fairing thingy's just to have room for the name in the graphics kit.

What would it take me to come back to racing locally???? I don't know if anything would. I'm too busy with real life and don't have the time I used to have to play between work and my youngest kid still in the house with his sports. I would like to check out the tracks that I haven't seen or ridden before, but my bucket list of tracks is all of the "National" tracks past or present and I've not hit all of them up yet. I'd like to ride the Unadilla Regional this year to get that track off my list, but that's not local. I'd like to ride Spring Creek too, and that's not local either. Locally, I'd now go to EROC style races at places that will have that kind of race, so that I can get an hour straight on the track, pack up, go home, and not have the day take from 4am til 10pm by the time all of it is said and done. I like to ride more than spectate, so I do want more seat time. I'd love the 10 less classes both Briarcliff tracks combined race....... I'd show up for that! Even when I go to Red Bud, I sign up for 4 classes and spend all day out on the track, almost no time in the pits or watching, because I just wanna ride.

But I think we need to get more KIDS racing so we have a future. Kids are going to be the riders of tomorrow, because my group is slowly dwindling off as health issues keep us off bikes. I shouldn't be the target market for a return to racing. Make it fun for the kids!

Could you repeat that I missed it the first time.

Just sell me your rc bike when you’re done and got 4 hours on it. Your doin the Splitfire #70 kit? Ever think about the 167 kit ?

Alright, different angle to the practice vs. race thing.
When you go out to buy a used car or moto van (I am currently looking), isn't one of the first questions / concerns the number of miles? So then when you go to sell your dirt scooter wouldn't you want less hours on the meter? If I were looking at bikes and the seller said it has 50 hours on the meter but " I only ride in the woods or at practices" I would assume it is a P.O.S.

If you were buy one of the GOAT's bikes, would you rather have the practice bike or the race bike?

This may be a reach but, I have heard a lot of people say they will not race a 10 min moto in the mud because it would ruin their 9K bike. But logging 200 hours in the dry doesn't hurt it?

Mileage on motovans isn’t an issue.

My brothers has close to 200,000 and it’s great. No issues.

Mine has 120,000 and I just drove it down to Florida and back this past week.

Express vans are good high mileage vehicles if you maintain them.
