2018 OMA Class Changes

Sounds like little Johnny wants his participation award and wants his own class cuz he doesn't like it when they run everybody together and the + 40 guys beat his + 25 class

Last time we were on the track together i was right with you, and you should beat me since you have more experience. Lets go ride some indoors ha ha

Age is only a number, i got waxed by John Grewe.....

Ok, just so people don't get lost in this nonsense, the final bike changes are the same as the original post:

No D class, No 25+, Collegeboy will be 16+

We will keep 25+ in the Battle series.

Other changes include minor tweaks to ATV classes which you guys care nothing about (all atv lurkers see FB).

Linch it then. less motos, more people on gate, more laps

Im not against getting rid of classes just wanted a explanation for the "safety is foremost in our decision process"

Trust me i am ok with racing against more people.

Uh yea, no D class? And you expect beginner level riders to race C class, a class run at Loretta's with the top 2 or 3 guys jumping everything, and the next 5 or so randomly doing that. Then you wonder why the sport is dying.
I know most of you don't regularly ride Jeremy's C track on practice days, and doubtful if you ever pay attention to it, but there's usually a whole nother set of riders there that ride, especially on nice days. That's the potiential you desperately need to tap into, NOT push away!

I remember back when I racing as a kid, if you were just a weekend warrior type you raced CRA. Tracks were mellow, prep was never anything to write home about but it didn’t matter. There was a CRA “C” class and a D12 “C” rider. Two very different riders.

I think there is an assumption by many people that we can save motocross by pushing new members into racing, and that they don't currently race because the novice classes are too fast. So we had a D class for a couple years, it was luke warm at best. If what everyone says is true, then this class would be just as popular as the current 250C, or at least Open C. I think what we found was that people that don't want to race will offer up a likely excuse, and many of the soap boxers on here grab it and run with it.

Everyone always brings up safety. But yet in open practice you have no issues with being on the track with anyone with no flaggers.

Who ever said we dont have issues with it? We just dont have a choice. And i brought up safety because that was in his original post. Sorry to hurt your JO fan boy club feelings.

And the quad classes are??

You should know by now, that you cant go against the quad classes. They are a breed of there own and have feelings too Dave. :p
