And I am outa here....

if you are serious, you will love a new 450. They are just easy to ride, the nostalgia of the old 500's is cool, but it's still hard to ride, and no matter what you do, it still won't handle as well as a current bike designed for the whole package. The 450's have plenty of power, easy to ride, and just keep the oil changed and the air filter clean and you don't have to do anything to the engine for a really long time, just ride it.

Well. That didn’t work.... I was a resident of Georgia for a whole week... I’m back baby and it’s 71 degrees here. Go figure
The anchor’s retirement was too much to walk away from. So I am picking back up the old job and just acting like the past few weeks never happened.
So now the real important decision needs to be made... 500 or 450????
Leave the glory to the kids, get a 450.....it is your destiny.

You were correct but I only switched because the 4cs forks were garbage. I had almost $1000 wrapped up in them and they still were junk.

That engine is/was awesome.
Holy crap another thing we agree on. 4cs were garbage. But I was only comparing to kyb SSS. Ha. It’s the only thing that kept me truly away from ktm/husky.

So... Your telling me you think a chassis from 1989 will work better with a 500 in it than a 2010+ chassis with a 500 in it?

I'm taking a newish AF over a built 89,90,92,01 500 all day.

Buy a 450 n thank us later.

Man up get a big boy bike.

i have looked at several most are so ragged out its sad. if not then the owner wants 5K.
