2025 Loretta Lynn's

I crashed myself out of most motos this weekend or made a mistake to allow the riders to pass me. Oh hell, I even feel I might have moved over to let a few by... I was oddly nervous up to this weekend. Either way, im back home, sore knee but nothing major. Lessons learned!

Decent start +30 heat 2 (maybe 14/15?) held of some fast guys off for two laps and one little little mistake - Poof. Two guys pass me like that. I'm going back to the LCQ - They take 16, I finished 17.

My 3 yr old son says - "Dad you did a great job."
My wife says - "I don't like your attitude right now."

No true racer wants to lose. I will always be a racer - no matter the numerical position at the end.

Prayers to the families who lost loved ones during the storm.

bucket list track knocked off. Unadilla was so sick. First practice on Friday fresh prep could hold it wide open. Sky shot is so dope to jump. Biggest and hardest jump to me on the whole track is the huge double downhill after the finish. Got so gnarly with chop and acceleration bumps before it. Almost died on Friday last practice jumping it and cased it and bounced to the bottom. Worth the trip honestly felt good. Rode polar opposite tracks Friday was due to expected rain it wasn’t deep and then Saturday morning it was insanely rough and rutted. Had to be patient every moto because they watered before every moto so was slick in spots but not bad. Would definitely go back again if they have a regional. Sucks Sunday got cancelled. On the way home passed Area 51 didn’t even know it was there. Also looks super bad ass. Definitely going to have to make a trip to it sometime.

Also just curious have they ever fully cancelled 2nd and 3rd motos at regionals? I thought for sure no matter what they were going to do something to at least have another moto score. I have heard of 2nd motos then calling it but never just first. Definitely probably sent a lot of people home upset but that was the best decision for them. Never have I ever seen it rain 6.6 inches in a matter of a few hours. I left either way because no reason to destroy a 12k bike when I wasn’t sitting in a qualifying spot. But none the less great trip

That's the joy of LL racing - you slam your ass off at what feels like an incredible pace - start to get exhausted, look back .......and BAM you're starring right into some guy's goggles and he's ready to eat you for lunch....!!!!!

Yo! Those hills looked wild. Really wanting to ride there now too.
Area 51 is real good, especially with all the elevation they have there. I was just there a few weeks ago

I did see Unadilla has amateur practice on the Friday and Sunday of their National
It's by advance reservation only.
Of course, it's the same weekend as Red Bud Vet Fest

Haven’t been on here in a min. Well my 5 year olds first LL run is done and dusted
8 area qualifiers raced and 3 regional championship
SOB 17-37-25 for 35th overall
Pleasure valley 11-20 for 17th overall
Braircliff 15-13-25 for 19th overall

Bcliff was about to be his best race of season but a 3rd moto crash and come from dead last to 25 was a awesome ride

A great LL race season for my first year racer at 5 years old. Not (ama 5) a real
5 year. Fast and fun was the saying for this years Racing .

Couldn’t be more proud of my son

Only got beat by one other five year old in the nation and he’s a straight ripper and I hope he smokes all the 7 year olds at LL .

One week off and heading to Lincoln trail for the mini major .

Kelleher - to win +40
(Bobby Fitch or Kris Keefer are my early picks.)

How did I overlook the obvious? Shorty will run away with this class. Emig will be a distant 2nd. Fitch and Keefer can fight for the final podium spot.
It will be interesting to see the crowd reaction if it goes as predicted. Without Brownie in the mix, Short has the potential to win each moto by over 1 minute.

It's this. Over and over again that builds a champion.

I was talking to my soon to be 92 year old gma this morning. She about fell out her chair when I told her guys in my class last weekend drove from NY to SC back to the training facility they live at because they sold their house to live that lifestyle.

Parents selling everything and living out of campers are nuts. Honestly. If you don't have the means, you really need to consider your long term life.
