If it makes you feel any better, Mike, the Harley was newer than a '74. It was a '77 or '78 :)
Ben has yet to beat that kid on the Maico. Those two are as equally matched as can be. I'd love to see them switch bikes and see what happens because the bike is probably the difference between them...
I was waiting for you to start, Mike. Man, what a good time! We had a blast, as usual. Ben rode real well and had a helluva race on Saturday with a kid on a 440GP Maico for Vintage Open B/C, ending up second. He went down on the KX on Sunday and couldn't make his second moto. Came home with...
There were lots of SxS's last year. One with a huge light bar lit up the impromptu pit bike race. Now that I think about it there was one racing in it. We took a golf cart last year and it was a hundred bucks for the pass. I assume a SxS would be the same.

Anyway, my two boys and I, for the 7th time in a row, had a helluva good time and I can't really add anything to what's already been said. I was amazed how packed it got and the number of spectators watching MX. There are lots of people I only see...
This year I saw several dogs out walking their people and many bicycles. I've never seen the licensed/registered rule even attempted to be enforced since I've been coming here (first time was '07).

One of my favorite pics of bike and son. My kid loves this bike. Rough, raw and mostly bulletproof, it's simplicity makes it beautiful. Let's face it, valves and water belong in toilets.
Last year I got there about noon on Thursday and was told I couldn't get in the main campground until 5 unless I was a vendor. A half hour later they came by an told me to go on in. Previous years they let me right in. I'm still planning on being there Thursday early/mid morning this year.
