I knew that k01 and sharc would chime in, they are 490 lovers from way back.

man I feel like I hit the lottery!

Sorry, but I would in no way equate buying a YZ490 with hitting the lottery lol. I'm even a Yamaha guy. Nice find and story though.

    my yz 250 stolen

Sorry Georgie, I feel your pain, happened to me a few times. Good luck, but as said before, the cops could care less about stuff like this. Maybe if the thief had a bag of weed they would consider going after him.

    Fork spring swap??

I don't think there is any difference in length between any of the 06 YZ big bike forks. The 08 up are about 12mm shorter.

    Fork spring swap??

190 should be within the range for stock rate springs. Hopefully you'll bolt them on and be happy as is. Also, your axle is on it's way to you.

    Fork spring swap??

How much do you weigh? The 06 250F and 06 250 2st had the same rate fork springs stock. If you end up with the 250F forks, try them out first and see how you like them. If you like them as is, then just get them serviced, unless the seller can verify that they had been recently serviced.

    God I MIss This

Run it at all nationals, just like the old days 125, 250, and open, 2 or 4 stroke, no displacement advantage. I know, it won't happen, but nice to wish.

    2005 Yz 250 Fork Swap to 3S

Nope, the 05 caliper/hanger are the same as the 06 250F.

    2005 Yz 250 Fork Swap to 3S

07 450 clamps? If so, they will fit right on, don't pay too much though, there are lots of them available. The 06 450 forks will fit with no problems, they should be valved and sprung for the 250 though, 4 stroke valving is quite a bit different from 2 stroke. If you don't already have a...

    2005 Yz 250 Fork Swap to 3S

What are the 07 forks from? If they are YZ125,250 2st, or 450, they will bolt right on, the 250F that year used the newer style caliper, so you would need that too, if they're 250F forks. On the triple clamps, 250 2st and 450 clamps are a direct bolt on. 125 and 250F clamps are the same, but you...

    OMA GP Series

Yes, I do have a cool bike now, thanks for selling it to me. I do hope to ride more this year with not moving and having someone to fill it at work. I even plan to do at least 1 MX, and take it from there.

    OMA GP Series

I hope to hit them all, I've been riding about all the Action Sports and Fast Traxx GP's for several years, they are a blast. I probably wouldn't even still have a bike if it wasn't for these.

Ok... What did you do to your bike today??

Don't forget about the change in the rear sprocket offset. Honda did a minor change on the rear wheel, the chain won't line up correctly with the older wheels. I agree with the others about mud races, very rare for me to ride one anymore.

    The good ole' days

Those vids are so much nicer without the sounds of all the fart bikes out there. I wouldn't mind having that Hi Point trailer that is in the background in those shots.

    The good ole' days

Hard to believe that COCR used to be THE place to go. I think 4 times is about how many that I went to DC as well.
