    Briarcliff Area Qualifier May 22nd-24th

What a weekend. Some really good racing from what I could see. Saw a lot of pitracer names from working the starting gate. Dylon Walker put on a show, the 222 on the JGR bike was really fast too in B class and college boy, and Evan Ferry was quick and smooth on the 65

Just go to a fair race (preferably the Hartford Faircross National) and you will see all the beginners coming out of the woodworks.

    C class struggles.

FYI those bottom 2 ATV C groups should be combined with the regular ATV C class closer to the top, Those groups were ran when there were more quads than gates at Malvern. Regardless it's interesting that the trend continues across the board with the C class being largest, Although personally i...

All there needs to be is a rewards system in place for qualifying for the A Main. Say paying points on a tier system, A Main pays 75 points to win down to 50, B main pays 50 points to win down to 25, and so on. Or as simple as you get 20 bonus points for making the A Main, and 10 bonus points...

    C class struggles.

For years I've thought that a similar structure would work just by kind of fooling people by class names. Having a "Expert Class" that pays back cash. "Amateur Class" that pays trophies and a "Beginner Class" that doesn't pay anything.

Same thing happens in the ATV world. if you are a average B rider locally and go to the Nationals you get totally smoked, it's not even competitive. Luckily for us ATV guys in the OMA we can run a Age Class and Open class and never have to declare a classification. if I were to run a...

Does every Promoter / Event deserve 512 entries?

Its all about progression. I was at the very first races (and mostly all since) at both Briarcliff and Chillitown, neither started with 500 riders on day 1. Focusing on Chillitown, that track was a mess, goofy jumps, rocks everywhere, rather bland experience. But there was potential. The...

    Talk about a Race Order

In reality we are not that far off with the exception of running mini's on a separate track. 21 motos at RedBud for 325 entries and 24 motos at Chillitown for 500+ entries. BTW why do you need 9 age classes for adults? Sure sounds like the trophies for everyone system.

    Chillitown roll call!

Haha! Now that's comedy, at least he gets it honest. I knew there had to be more to the story if you were ever to be seen holding down the bleachers during the quad motos.

    Transponding from the Cliff??

From eScore: http://escoremx.com/atv-motocross-info.html Purchasing a transponder There are now two options for a racer to purchase a transponder. A rental transponder can be kept and used all year. In order to keep a transponder for the year a racer must request a charger. All transponders...

    Transponding from the Cliff??

From experience (ATV Nationals) its $125 deposit and you get back $100 making the rental $25 I just bought one using the AMA discount and it was just under $100 shipped (includes the 1 year activation) Each year you have to renew it for $55. So if you don't use it at least 2-3 times a year...

    Chillitown question

I love going to chillitown on a race weekend, mainly hanging out on saturday night and racing sunday. But I would be bored out of my mind spending two days of practice there. No disrespect meant, I love racing there, the track lends itself to good racing.
