BC Battle round PW class issues

Pitracer faithful out in full force to support their own. The kid is a good rider. He doesn't need daddy to help him from a dead stop. Dave does this all the time. That's why I was ready for it. The rules state to be away from the rider. If not how to we decide how much of a push...

BC Battle round PW class issues

This thread has been started by the moderator solely for the purpose of not hijacking a positive thread about the Briarcliff Battle race. The posts were moved here and this thread WAS NOT started by any one user. This was my issue. Anyone who ever raced a pw or is a dad of one should...

    East Fork Race Weekend 9/19 - 9/20

Oil injected eliminates the pw's. If that class is run it should be "shaft drive." Oil injected means pw's have to race against the oil injected ktm's. Knife in a gun fight. Three 50 classes is plenty. Shaft drive, JR 4-6 and Open 4-8. 4-6 year olds who are too big for a pw can ride...

    East Fork Race Weekend 9/19 - 9/20

Looks like they are trying to cut the number of classes. A move in the right direction.

    BC Battle Weekend Updates!

This is what confused me. I know in the past there has been a short practice. We were unable to camp for this race so I may bring my son to race Sunday morning.

    BC Battle Weekend Updates!

Is there going to be a round of practice on Sunday morning or is it all racing on Sunday?

50 and 65 only practice day! Anyone?

You could take your smaller (original?) track and make it closed to big bikes every other Saturday. There is seriously a huge void for kids who race to get lots of seat time on good tracks. When 50 kids race they usually run 3 lap motos. If they run 2 classes that's 6 laps of practice and...

50 and 65 only practice day! Anyone?

haha.....I understand. Maybe if it was built into the yearly schedule and communicated starting this year for it to be implemented next year........maybe then they would only gesture to you that you're number one instead of doing 4th gear holeshots on the driveway.

50 and 65 only practice day! Anyone?

Sounds good to me. How about Briarcliff closing the C track to big bikes once a month? 50's and 65's only. How good is the mini track at Apple Cabin? I haven't been there for about 5 years.

Anyone know if the night race tomorrow is one moto format or two?

    Chillitown hits a homerun!

There are a lot of responsible people who ride pit bikes. We ride slow, give walkers the right away, and watch out for others. Don't ruin it for everybody, deal with the few problems like the kid who raced around all weekend on the pw50. A pit bike can make it much more enjoyable...

Entry list for Lorettas is up. And again Ohio is down

I forgot about that, but now I do remember people being pissed that they thought a Team Green rider was going to win it.

Entry list for Lorettas is up. And again Ohio is down

The problem is, if you make it to the ranch it only gets rougher. I haven't raced there is 20 years, but judging by what I have seen, it's just as rough as ever. By the way, I was standing there in 91' when Knox won the balance contest and walked away with a new KX80.

Entry list for Lorettas is up. And again Ohio is down

I think some of it has to do with the tracks. We have seen a big improvement in the last 5 years, but maybe it takes awhile for that cycle to run it's course. Hopefully we have gotten away from the fair race capital of the country. Also, I think 50's and 65's need to race on big tracks...

    VETS AND RESPECT!

Yep, the front of the pack at a regional in the vet classes is dead serious. Ain't nobody givin an inch.

    no reason

Rough and rutted usually means technical with out ambulance grade rhythm sections. In this case Eli appears to have rode 100% when 95 probably would have got the job done. Looks like he still has some learning to do. Most of the industry probably wasn't very surprised. I'm a big Tomac...

Photos: Briarcliff MX - Mid-East Area Qualifier

It's crazy how well the OMA tracks are doing. It's great for Ohio motocross. It's great to have promoters who are committed to putting out a superior product. It's also a nice time to have kids starting to race and knowing that the we won't have to travel out of state to hit good races...

Photos: Briarcliff MX - Mid-East Area Qualifier

Alessi was going fast, but a couple other guys were within 2 or 3 seconds. Scott Metz was one. The race had the feel of a regional. Fast guys and out of state license plates all over the place. Doesn't that make both Ohio area qualifiers over 800 entries?
