    Indoor Season is here

I am at Monster Mountain at a blu cru event/race. Never been here but I remember they guys on pitracer always talking about it 10 to 15 years ago and making trips. It's just another track to me. I'm spoiled. I look off my deck every morning at the track at Club my house over looks at...

Vital Thread - Mike Burkeen answers questions regarding amateur racing

I don't understand why you would do a sport/event/etc if you got this much anxiety. If mx was that stressful, I would have never ever raced.

Vital Thread - Mike Burkeen answers questions regarding amateur racing

I am surprised that motocross STILL is as popular as it is with the price of bikes and pros making nothing (seriously, they make next to nothing just to be someone at the race) and all the sandbagging that goes on with 58 classes with 3 riders each! "How old is you child racing that 80?" "Oh...

    Illness?

He lived in Belgium since he was 13. Cold and rainy 1/2 the year. Of course it's a stressor! Heat advisory and all! He'll they shortened motos earlier this year because of heat! Joel Robert was the original boss man. And the anomaly but he was tough and hard as they come! RIP

    Illness?

This reply isn't for you k01, but everyone..... So is it the sport just too demanding, or just not resting enough? Airplane flights also contribute to this and in general are bad. Unhealthy air, change of time to the body clock ( some call it jet lag) etc. Or maybe he just caught a cold in...

    2025 Loretta Lynn's

Those PDUB kids never get very far in the sport now like back when JS7 raced it. Neighbor kid won it in 2021, parents are now divorced and the kid doesn't ride or race. Seems like a trend....... I guess he didn't see the aftermath of those pee wee parents at Loretta Lynn's this year fighting...

    2025 Loretta Lynn's

Yeah. And they have MX101 training facility in SC. He was gracious enough to accept the DQ without drama.

    Illness?

The racing isn't to long or too much that causes this. Is just not training smart. Most mx athletes are under the notion that the more grinding is better. Grinding works for some like RC. It didn't work firvJLaw, TP199, The Dogger and I can go on. TP199 said he did worse taking it...

    Illness?

Everything is on the table. OTC and more. Everyone is the same. After years, your body is just "tired" and that's the way we are made. Some take a few years, others After they retire. Many times is just your overall stress on the body and you get chronic fatigue syndrome, or adrenal...

    Illness?

I think you would all be surprised to find that many are microdosing and using peptides and it is very prevalent. The narrative that they don't make you go fast like JL is just denying the fact that is an enhancement to riding/racing. It helps, or there wouldn't be a billion dollar market...

Yeah, that vet fest thing is a watering event. Stopped going in 2010 when I lived in PA. Too much mud. Hope it's dry.

I was going to go to Texas but this is 4 hours closer. I haven't been to Red Bud for 15 years, maybe more. Do they have showers there? I'm thinking of camping there instead of getting a B and B six miles away. I've done other BLU CRU race events and they do it right.

Possible new Motocross track in Volusia County FL

That's a lot of money to just start with for a track. Only government can do this with taxpayer money and bottomless pockets. I'm not sure if I like this aspect but I suspect this is the new way to keep dirt bikes alive. Just like boating, we will be taxed to do what we used to do for free

A ny one seen a deal on a new 125?

That's a good question..... I don't know. Might have to run in modern. Ama vintage days cutoff is 98 or 99 and no AL frame if I remember correctly.....

A ny one seen a deal on a new 125?

Basically any AL frame is not next generation. Generally Watched a few videos on your channel. Interesting tuning for a 350 feel. Very nice videos.

A ny one seen a deal on a new 125?

First real mx bike. A 1972 montesa 125. Me on my new 1979 yz 125 at Central PA MX Park. Brand new. Coombs parked beside us when we talked. Broke it in and put numbers on it after practice. 2020 at Devils Ridge. In the south here, they have an OVER 40 125 PRO class. It's very popular...

A ny one seen a deal on a new 125?

I rode my 125 at a big grass track event put on by Kevin Kelly in GA. Full gate of bikes. I'm the only 125. I was in 6th gear on 2 places on this track and my GPS had me at 61 mph over that 135 foot table top. I only put 2 laps on YT. It gets boring. I also rode the over 40 Pro 125 class...

A ny one seen a deal on a new 125?

The Yamaha 125 is a great bike. The KTM has had crank problems and EFI problems since they have come out. If you get a Yamaha 125, get this kit from Europe. It's a game changer for the bike. Carb parts that ARE NOT AVAILABLE in the US. It is that frekin' good!!! The GET ignition is also...

    winter plans for riding

I think that is a better practice venue than ClubMX for older people. For young adults, ClubMX the bomb I would say. Even more so if you have some speed. I'm here next to Club and most times older people like it at first then it gets knarly rough by 1 PM and then they don't like it. NCMP has...
