Subject: Replacement of the Camshaft & Intake Rocker Arm
Affected Models: Model Year 2013 450 XC-F
Restrictions: Affected models are linked by VIN number
The camshaft running surface on affected models is improperly manufactured and the DLC
(diamond like coating) could be prematurely worn on the intake rocker arm. This could cause the rocker arm to wear and thus cause premature wear or scoring to the camshaft and considerable engine damage with very low running time.
Please connect with your KTM Dealer to schedule an appointment to replace the intake rocker arm and replace the camshaft for possible damage.
If you are local to Holeshot KTM we can do this work for you.
If you are not certain about your KTM please email me your VIN #
If you have a friend with one of these KTM's please send this along to them. I will be happy to look up their bike and see if it is one of the KTM bikes under this notice.
