Hi folks -
Another question that we get a lot here at Wiseco is ring end gap. What should it measure? Why should I check it? All good questions, so a little knowledge goes a long way. Here is a link to our post on FB regarding how and why, and what to look for:

Ring end gap is very critical, in that too tight of a gap can be bad. If your ring ends are able to touch and bind, the ring will bind against the cylinder bore causing plenty of cylinder and piston damage. It is always better to be on the loose end of the spectrum, and slightly too much end gap on a new install is normally not cause for alarm. Read through our post, and you can always email me direct with any questions at dsulecki@wiseco.com
