I just purchased a new to me kawi 450 to re-enter the sport after a long 7 year break. My question is what gearing should I run for a less spirited bottom end hit 13/50 is stock was thinking 14/50 or 13/49. Any thoughts on the subject? I don't want to go to far. lastly what rear tire is working good these days, 90% of my riding will be smith and apple cabin.

Try Dunlop MX3S tires. 110/90-19 will work better than the 120/80 it comes with. Also run a stock size front sprocket and go +1 tooth on the rear.
