Fair weather rider? 1st season of moto in the bag...

Well, kind bummed here. It's been a good year, Spencer's 1st year in moto. Sucks it's coming to an end somewhat. Had a lot of fun, learned a lot, felt we did a lot, improved a lot, spent a lot, yada, yada.

I was really looking forward to putting a stamp on the season with these last two races of the OMA season, but the weather hasn't cooperated. We barely made it to Route 62 last weekend. It turned out OK. Of course, was only 30 minutes from us...

So with impending weather forecast for this weekend at Malvern and the almost 2 hour trek, not thinking we are going to make it. Bummed, but soggy races aren't what they used to be. They used to be fun and everything that came with it was just part of the experience. Granted, if it was going to be in the 70's or 80's we might be taking a little longer look...

These days, I guess there are just things we've experienced that I'm not willing to experience anymore (i.e. cleaning the bike, rebuilding it, cleaning camper, cleaning myself, etc. Spencer isn't so much a bad mud rider and in reality pretty decent at his experience level, but I am thinking his experience this season has him thinking he's OK with not going as well.

On to the indoors I suppose which personally I have been out of for few years, but looking forward to it this year with Spencer as he is too. Hoping the new Route 62 indoor satisfies the offseason urge. Talk to you in the spring...

Stoked for ya Scoob -
How many more years before 65's?
Thanks! I am in a good spot even though I am not riding yet. Would like to think I will be sooner than later, but just isn't the priority right now...

Too many years before 65 is all I got to say!!...lol

He just turned 6 Sept. 30th so actually could start riding 65's next fall, right? We'll see how 2022 goes. I think I am getting the 50 thing somewhat figured out, but absolutely do not have enough spare part inventory...lol. Jr. is in a decent spot as is PW, although PW "needs" a bottom end and some maintenance this winter if we plan to moto with it next year. We'll see how the indoors go. He's getting to like the jr. pretty well so could be bye-bye PW....we'll see. :)

Mine only rode the PW in the backyard. Then went to a KX 65 and didn't moto much.
Luckily, I never got into the heavy wrenching deal with the little bikes.
