The local legend has passed after recently turning 100 years old. Living minutes from him has been a fun experience. Seeing him at local events and at a mutual friends pig roast a few years back was so much fun. At the pig roast he was talking to Barry Higgins, I kind of interrupted him and he looked at me with a stern look and said what do you want. I asked him, do you want a cup of coffee which had just been perked. He smiled and said yes that sounds great. I sat and talked and listened for a long time. He was a legend and I raced against his sons at local MX races. His accomplishments in the motorcycle industry have made great strides in making the sport better and safer. RIP JP.
