VP has a bad batch of fuel out. It has affected several people. Boys 85 blew up with 4hrs on the motor. Check your fuel if you have any VP

I have done a few motors before tear down just to test it out and the hardest area to seal seems to be the counter shaft sprocket seal. So yes it can be done depending on your ability to seal everything.

Cased the big uphill. Said the bike hit false neutral shifting to 5th up the face. Said he knew he should have left it in 4th as soon as he did it.

Unfortunately our regionals ended with our first one at Baja. No secret that track is going to be rough. Had one really bad crash that he walked away from but the bike didn’t fare so well. The next crash he didn’t fare so well so we are going to be healing up for a while.
