RIP George. Raced there a lot growing up, I’m sure some of you probably have some of the same awards. A couple of the plaques from that year match the shirt that are on the wall.

I know it was brought up in a previous post but look at all of the chest protectors. I'd say 90% of the riders are wearing them.

I asked about the start and class. He said it was definitely a rubber band start and he was racing light weight open class.

Awesome thanks for the info guys. When I asked him if he thought it was Amherst he said that sounded right. He really only raced at Smith and Meadowlarks being from North Olmsted.

John250- They still have the D class down here in KY in a couple series. They state in the rules that it is a class primarily for new racers trying it out for the first time and that no points or awards will be given out for that class. That place may be re-opening this year with new ownership...
