    Malvern AQ

I logged in for the first time in years just to say that the track on Sunday was in prime condition. The ruts were challenging. I didn't think it was really that rough, more soft and sticky. I raced 40+ and let everyone go in 30+ and rode laps. It isn't often that you get to put in laps...

Best 2020 450 MX Bike to Buy

I have an 18 Honda 450 and realized that if my suspension was too soft it transferred the energy to the chassis. I went way stiffer on the clickers and it softened everything up. I think the Honda is very sensitive and you have to keep the energy off the chassis. .....I also run the lower...

Back when the OMA racing was fun! What happened??

Wow, that's GO ROY GO in that video. Anyone remember his mom always screaming GO ROY GO! during all of his races? And yeah, there was a time when Honda Hills was top notch. Split program, campground at the bottom of the property.... the locals always had a big advantage, but it was...

    VMD Roll Call

Big time fun racing on Sunday. Man, mid 90's Honda's are such badass bikes. I've been having a blast riding my 96 CR250 lately. I wish I would have had my GoPro on for that last moto. The sounds of our bikes alone coming out of the turns was priceless.

    ALTA Redshift Price Drop.

You have an awful high opinion of yourself that I have yet to figure out why. I don't know everything, but I do in fact take metal notes when I see new riding styles and techniques. Many of the accepted techniques in this sport were developed when everyone raced 2 strokes. When Chad Reed...

    ALTA Redshift Price Drop.

I can understand supercross being hard on clutches for no other reason that the factory guys are using 4th gear in the whoops and they are probably using the clutch a lot in the corner before since most of them shift up in the air on the triple before the turn leading to the whoops.

When I ride a 450 I rarely use it other than to keep the bike from stalling in tight turns. If you are fanning the clutch on 450 I can assure you that you are doing it wrong.

    ALTA Redshift Price Drop.

The only time I've ever burnt a clutch up was on a cr80 in a mud race...and that was my fault. Beyond that I never even replaced a clutch. Lol And this is coming from a guy who rode for decades with a finger on the clutch because you actually needed it on bikes like 80's and 125's. Motocross...

    ALTA Redshift Price Drop.

Most of the pro riders don't even keep a finger on the clutch anymore. They only use it in the corners. Modern four strokes have eliminated almost any need for it. You can grip the bars better with all fingers on the bars. This was something that was difficult for me to unlearn and I still...

Ain’t just Ohio moto that’s dead

I was going to race Mansfield harescramble last Sunday. Then I added up the 10$ gate fee for me, the wife, and my two kids. 25$ entry fee, 25$ CRA membership. 90$ total. We went to SVR where we are members and me and my kids rode all day. It's all about what's fun and the best bang for your...

Process of starting a Motocross Track

I think forgot the expensive stuff like a dozer, big tractor, ripper, disc and fuel for said equipment. I'm stressed out already and it isn't even my project.

Anyone here ever lowered an MX bike before?

I think the forks and shock are lowered on this bike......about 3" if I remember right.

Anyone here ever lowered an MX bike before?

My dad does it on most of his bikes. He rides a 14 FE KTM 450. I think one issue is that some places lower the bike, but don't account for the suspension in effect riding 25% down in the stroke from the start and making the bike feel harsh.
