We have electric heat and usually experience $300-$350 per month electric bills in the winter months keeping the thermostat at 65 degrees. I have been hearing that the price of electricity will be deregulated soon and that always means that the price will go up.
We looked into pellet stoves but you have the purchase of pellets and we also hear that there are regulations coming that will infuence their price.
Outdoor wood burners can be free dollar wise (we have tons of woods to cut from) but there is the maintenance and the start up costs are higher.
Does anyone have either of these that they can comment on... looking at brands, experiences and pros and cons...
