If you were to have your name and number put on your jersey would you prefer to stick with just the basic black and white, which works well with any color of jersey, or would you want to go with colors to match your bike or gear?

Basic. Some things should always stay white or black.

I would go with anything bright. Neon Pink, Green or Yellow

The neon stuffs cool. But would need a crisp dark outline.

Or black with neon/complimentary outline.
