Perhaps Yamaha paying a big bonuses to riders making tghe 40 man gate at a national or SX gate for the night show is spearheading the additional Yamaha teams. I am hearing Yamaha has a great contingency program for next year.

More Yamaha Teams For SX in 2013

Yamaha has announced it will field additional teams in the 2013 Supercross season with the addition of Velocity3 Racing and N-Fab Ti Lube Yamaha to the Joe Gibbs Racing Motocross, Star Racing and Rock River Powersports teams in the 450cc class.

Velocity3 Racing will field Kyle Chisholm and Bobby Kiniry on 450s. N-Fab Ti Lube will run Phil Nicoletti, also on a 450, in both Supercross and National Motocross.

In the 250cc class, Yamaha has announced it will field Eleven Ten Mods with Alex Martin set to ride in the East Coast Supercross class and the 250cc National Motocross Championship.

And Valli Motorsports returns with its own race effort in 2013. The team will be spearheaded by Travis Baker, who will race a YZ250F in the 250 Supercross class on the West Coast.

In addition, Jessica Patterson will be returning to Yamaha and the YZ250F that she earned her 2010 WMX crown on. Patterson will compete in the WMX series along with select high profile women's races throughout the 2013 race season.

I almost fell out of my chair when you acutally posted the info about Patterson. With you being a big Yamaha fan you better hope the WMX sticks around. The highest hopes in that Yamaha bunch is that Jessica Patterson should be the WMX champ, again.

I dont care where Yamaha spends their money or gives bikes too. I am just making a point that they are upgrading their contingency program. Unfortunately for the WMX, they dont have 40 Jessica Pattersons. If Yamaha is paying a large bonus to females also in the WMX to make the 40 woman gate, then they all better jump on blue bikes to at least get some contingency.

Make the Main at a SX or motos at the Nationals, and you at least make $400.

$400? Thats it? I thought some years ago I read an article in MXA or one of those about riders making the main in SX by the LCQ. I think they said that year Fred Andrews was the king of LCQ. At any rate , maybe memory serves me wrong but I thought last place in the main was $2000 back then.

$400 is the Yamaha contingency for Last place. I dont think the SX promoters even pay last place $400. Its is $10,000 in contingency for a win.
