LOL........Its just not fair if the doctor has to do a C-Section or something........We need to change this. Damn, I did not even realize that my twins can not be President now! I am with the letter writer, we need to change that. Imagine if the letter writer is real......they are a voter too.

Beaufort,NC Political Information


According to voter data, Beaufort, NC votes 68.5% Republican.

Most of the crystal coast is Republican. Hard to imagine where we'd be if they were all like this loonie. C section was the funniest. I want to think it's real, but punked keeps popping up.
 
Immediately suspicious as well I'll admit.

I listen to AM talk radio a good bit, mostly our local Columbus afternoon hosts, and he takes a lot of callers and several times I've had to question myself.....Did that person just say what I thought he said? And you can tell these people believe what they are actually saying. Never fails the radio host is usually just as stunned.

A lot of very small minded opinionated folks amongst us.
 
Oh, I believe they're real... because they re-elected Obama. BTW, Chicago has one of the highest crime rates in the country and favorite stomping ground of guys like Al Capone.

If you come to my company and don't like the rules, you can leave and go somewhere else.

If you live/come to this country and do not like the rules, (constitution) you have the right to leave.
 
Not going to comment on the above but would like to add….
Did you know that the people of Jamaica do NOT have that same right?
Every time they would like to travel, they must ask for a visa to leave their country.
Most times it’s rejected….especially for anyone that has accomplished anything or is upwardly mobile.
I feel that most Americans don’t fully realize just how AWESOME our country really is.

Light in my travels, I'm sure that's a fact.

I sure hear a lot of people pointing out those that wish to limit, restrict or abollish many of the liberties we have long enjoyed.
And it doesn't take a scholar to see our nations moral-value fabric becoming a bit frayed.
 
I agree 100% Sharc, like you I have had the fortune to travel quite a bit. One thing you realize real quick after visiting Mexico or any island in the caribbean is our level of wealth, expectations of the standard of living and the difference in poverty level. I always thought it would be beneficial to the patriotic atmosphere of our country to send all high school students to a third world country for a semester and experience what those people have. I think much more appreciation for the USA would come out of it.


On the other hand I think people are getting frustrated with the move towards socialism we are experiencing lately. Not that we are close to being a socialist state but as we were taught in school , democratic countries are on one side of the spectrum and communists countries are on the other. Both have a tendency to move to the center where socialism is. The past few decades have proved this true in our world.

I am afraid many uneducated people don't even understand the concept.
I was in a burger joint a while back in the evening, and a fellow with a wife and a couple of kids was going on "to an older gentleman" about doctors and how much they make and on and on. Know I understand health care costs have gotten out of control and such. But that was not what disturbed me. He eventually lent towards the end of his confersation that all Doctors should be paid the same, all nurses, ect. ect. and those wages should be capped and Yada! Yada!

Well I Came THIS CLOSE <> to intervening and explaining to him that this argument he was making was Socialism. But I held my tongue, But it hit me! I think we need change but I realized My Ideas of change may not be an exact Parallel to what others may see as change when it comes to social economic restructuring.
 
I guess what I am saying to the above post is, If I had accused the guy of being a socialist I am sure he probably would have taken offense. Like many nieve desperate folks, He probably has no idea that what he was saying was socialist Ideology!
