We are just over a week away from the opening round of the 2013 Action Sports Grand Prix Championship season! A few changes have been made for the 2013 season. We will be sanctioned by the AMA and every rider must be a current AMA member. AMA memberships can be purchased at the track for $49. We will be using a new transponder scoring system. Transponders can also be purchased at rider registration for only $10, and battery life is good for 2 years. You now have the option to reserve your number for the entire year. Numbers 1-25 are reserved for A class riders. Just email Kyle at kw@actionsportsracing.com with your name and preferred number. Add a second or third option just in case.
This year a rider must compete in a minimum of 6 events to be eligible for year end awards, and the best 6 scores count toward the championship. Riders will compete for the number 1 plate and contingency awards from our sponsors to the top 3 in each class.
2012 saw the largest rider and spectator attendance so far, and we are excited for even more riders to try their hand at some of the most fun on two wheels. Round 1 kicks off on Saturday, April 13th. Then on Sunday, April 14th we will hold a motorcycle open practice from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for vintage, post vintage and modern motorcycle and mini bike riders to prepare for the opening round of the 2013 AMA Vintage National Motocross and Harescramble Championship Series at Action Sports on May 4th and 5th.
