Dave - praying for a quick transition to painless "normal" life with your new knee. I hope your knee doesn't affect your ability to twist the throttle.
 
I hope you have a speedy recover. I feel your pain. I had shoulder reconstruction 9 months ago. Tore all four rotator cuff muscles off the bone and tore my bicep along with a chipped bone. Got 7 anchors in my bones and a screw. Amazing how your body can come back after such a traumatic event. The first few days were really tough. Sounds like you are managing well so far. Good luck.
