Skyview Raceway???

Looking for some video of CRA Skyview Raceway. I cannot seem to find anything....anywhere.

Thanks.

We are going to give it a try this weekend! Dave helped lay out the track and it looks fun. People that have raced there said it had nice flow!!! We have to take advantage of this weather while we can!

So, I have a general question here.

How in the world am I supposed to find that video on Facebook? I searched via Google, searched everything I could find on YouTube, and all I could find was videos on the Hare Scrambles there.

This is what aggravates me with people's obsession (or worse, tracks and promotors) with Facebook --- you have to know the person posting, or know exactly what to search for in order to find the info.

If you go to Competition Riders of America (CRA) FB page there is a video that says follow Michael around Skyview raceway track and it's right there about 3 posts down. I just found it.

Oh boy, dont start that on here again! I have gotten the beat down for saying the same thing. Ask Lonnie! Lol

Joc and I went there years ago for a harescramble, and both of us thought it would make an awesome old school MX. Glad to hear it's happening.

It's amazing how many people do not know about PR.... Maybe Knox can run some numbers on this topic.

True, however the percentage of track owners who think all of their facebook friends see every post they make is about 90%. Unfortunately the posts made on FB only reach a small portion of the users that have followed the tracks page. Unless that user consistently likes all of the posts made they will only receive a small percentage of those posts. I follow at least 15 different tracks on FB yet only see 2 -3 posts a week by any track. And unless you know about the track you cant find it in a search. Vet261's frustration is in some track owners misunderstanding of this. Here its one click on the practice or race section and BAM, you know a variety of options. The best way for track owners is to both!!!!

I think Chuck has linked FB with PR some how so that you can make one post and it generates on both sites for track owners. He would have to fill you in on that.

If you go to Competition Riders of America (CRA) FB page

I just looked that up on FB and it's a closed group and I cannot see anything without asking to join the group. So I hit "join" and now it says "requested" so apparently someone has to approve me.
If I look at the Competition Riders of America main organization page on FB the last post is April, 2014.

So...again...how would I know there is a special "request only" FB page for CRA? And why would it be request only? How exactly does that help promotion of the product? ( this is not directed at Hands, just general question for everyone)

I've said this 100 million times probably -- FB is great as a SUPPLEMENT but too many people think it takes care of everything for their business. I just don't understand that narrow minded thinking.

Without Pitracer for me to post this question on, and then be able to get told where to look on FB...how would I find this valuable info I was looking for regarding a race coming up this Sunday? (valuable info meaning seeing a video or pics of a new track that just started this year)

Here's where it gets really bad -- I work in technology for a living and am really savvy at this but I still couldn't find what I wanted. What about all the people without FB, or not savvy at searching around?

I post on pr first then screen shot my pr post and put that on Instagram and Facebook to try and help spread the word about pit racer.

Here are 2 that I found on youtube. I entered Skyview MX CRA.

my bad, the 2nd one wasn't skyview it was sky high. I deleted it to remove confusion.

i guess the 1st one isn't skyview either. it was all I could find. Saw further down they posted stuff to correct the errors.

John- there are 2 competition riders of America FB pages the one I was talking about is Competition Riders of America (CRA) posts are on there. I don't know about the other FB page but this is the one I was referring to. Back in the day you would have to go to a new track to try it out and form your own opinion. Word of mouth was our social media, my how times have changed!!!!

Damn, that's a nice looking track. To bad it is 4 hours away from us.
I thought about handing out a survey at a large race with questions like "how do you find out about races?" "How many races do you attend each year?" "Favorite track?" " if you could change one thing..?"
I thing it would really help a tracks marketing, rider resumes, and help improve things overall for our sport. I am more than willing to volunteer my time if a track wants to do it.
