2016 LL Classes and Rules

So they make a rule to kick "ex-pro's" out of the 45+ class.
Thanks for dedicating your life to the sport.
Thanks for keeping in top physical condition to be able to compete.
Thanks for bringing people to the fence to watch a class that no one would have watched before.

Now, wait until your 50 or race 35+ class.

Yet another reason to stay fat and retired. Thanks Davey

They just need to add (yeah hard to believe I am saying add a class, or just get rid of one of the others) a Vet Pro class. It would be awesome.

John Grewy says, " what's the big deal?"

A former factory rider is easily competitive in the 35+ even at 49 years old. Grewy has been smoking the factory stars for years. You probably know he finished 3rd in the 35+ at 48 years old this year.

I say those factory guys who have personal tracks to train on, no 9-5 job and show up with A kit suspension and every other trick part that the industry gives them to build a bike will be just fine.

As a member of the "organization" sanctioning this money racket. I would like to know the names of the AMA board members that approved these changes? Or however it works in Pickerington. You would think this would be something that the MEMBERS vote on. I guess my ballot/questionnaire got lost in the mail.

Yeah....those darn AMATEUR racers wanting to race against other AMATEUR racers at the AMATEUR NATIONAL!!! Don't they know the ex-pros need trophies too?

You do know that the only change in the vet classes is in 45+ class right?

yes, but the 2015 rules were just set last year to have to devil's spawn (ex-pro's) to only run the 35+ and 45+ Now the rules have changed again. Why? The ex-pro's are just that. EX pro's. they are not professionals. They are not good enough to still be a pro or they would be. They are now amateurs. Like it or not.

You goons and your dirtbike bitching, just be happy you can race. Knox would bitch if they made a 200lbs rider 2 stroke class, because he would want it to be 250! Get over it, those are the rules and classes, go race, or just ride. It's a free country, true story.

I am ready to sell everything and go golfing.
Who cares out of the 3 billion classes i will find something or somewhere to ride.

really I don't give a crap. Im not making a come back so it does not effect me. I just don't like how the riders NEVER have a say in any changes... EVER.
And this site gets crazy boring if no one is bringing up valid points.
Maybe it is time for me to take a PR vacation.

Not to change the subject but the comment about Grewe made me go look him up in the vault. MAN -- what an impressive list of LL results! Holy cow.

37 time qualifier for the National and never finished outside the top 20!
4 overall championships
26 times in the top 5
Only 4 finishes outside the top 10

Again, WOW.
He blew by me so fast at pax his vapor trail about wrecked me.

The guy is in serislous shape too. He's probably Moe fit than I am at 28.

Can't believe I spelled his name wrong, but yeah he is in outrageous physical condition. He's like some sort of cyborg. He's a little guy, but every ounce of him means serious business.

My question, does the guy have a real job? Seems like somehow he is able to leave one big race, and head straight to the next one. I am just wondering if he ever works.

I heard golfing is for old people who have very little athletic ability, true story. I also heard that the US is almost a free country but nothing is actually free for the working class, also a true story, I swear.

The goal of the sportsman classes is to give our members what they are asking, we hear it all the time. It's a "amateur" national, we are trying to push those ex-pro's out of those classes for true amateurs. What's wrong with that? Vet riders make up large demographic of our sport, we want to give them what they deserve. If you want to argue 45+ or 50+ being a sportsman class.. that's a legit argument. The 25+, 35+ and 50+ are open to ex-pros. The 30+, 40+, and 45+ are limited to amateurs. I think the "John Grewe's" of the world will be ok. He proved it this year in the 35+.

Also I'm extremely excited about a second 125 2-stroke class (schoolboy 1 and 125 B/C) to encourage youth riders to stay on 125 2-stokes. Now they have two 125 two-stroke classes. There is no new C class. The 250 C 12-16 was implemented in 2015.

I believe these are positive changes.

Yup just keep taking away classes for the guys who dont train at a training facility all year, and ride a 250 2 stroke. It amazes me how every year the classes seem to be formatted to cater younger riders and riders who put all their time and money into training facilities. Heck the AMA outta just start their own training facility. Schoolboy 1 and 2 are both classes for kids to ride 125's, now they have a 125 b/c I strongly agree with Schafferknocker, a rider of my ability now has nearly no chance of making it to lorettas since there is no 2 stroke class. But hey the AMA prolly doesnt need my money anyways right??
