Pay per view for mx nationals!

It's an online stream. Get ready for it to lock up, pause, pixelate.
I have 200MB Internet service, and when the Salt Lake SX got delayed I tried using the Fox Sports Go app and all it did was pause, lock up, etc. Hopefully NBC app is better!

Maybe I'm just old and crotchety. I enjoy watching my TV on an actual TV. I don't enjoy watching it on my phone or other device.

I don't have cable, satellite, or even an antenna to get local stations. But through the miracle of the internet and my edumacated wife, I've watched about 3/4 of the supercrosses glitch free on my color television.

I guess the one thing I DO like about that is where it says ON DEMAND. That should work ok since not everyone is trying to access it at the same time.

On demand or not I'm guessing you will need a fast Internet service to avoid freezing etc while streaming any video.

I suspect it'll be offered from the NBC app which you'd just plug in to your Roku and OnDemand it at will. My Netflix never pauses or locks up. Hulu paused too often. I liked the quality of Sling just didn't like commercials on top of paying $25/mo. Maybe I'll wait until after the first race to hear some reviews.

I am not big on tech stuff. Can you get this on spectrum cable? Or only on the NBC app and a smart tv?

I have spectrum and fs2 is not in HD. but it is if you login to the fox sports app with your spectrum account

Don't need a smart tv. Just need a tv with a hdmi slot. Get a google chrome or Amazon fire stick and it basically turns your tv into a smart tv

Chromecast is your best friend. Chromecasting the Fox Sports Go stream to TV honestly looks better than what is aired. I believe Fox Sports airs in 720P, where as the webcast is actually 1080P.

Thanks for for the info... looking forward to watching the 125 races the most...i hope they are included...

Did you notice that all the 2015 and 2016 races are available on demand also???

I wonder how soon after the race the on demand is available>

So this a one time $50 fee for the season. No commercials. Awesome. That's actually getting your money's worth. Nothing pisses me off more than paying for services and having to sit through commercials.

Honestly now that Fox News sacked oreilly factor I feel comfortable dumping cable after the supercross series. Cable tv sucks anymore anyway. Entirely too expensive.

Number crunch time:

This will be my new bill once I cut cable, and go to a internet only package.

Internet 49.99/mo
Hulu 12.99/mo
Netflix 8.99/mo
Xbox live $28.99/year (can find deals never pay full price- I can use this like a firestick but also shoot my moto buddies in the winter time on battlefield and call of duty:D And race them on mx vs atv encore)
Amazon prime ($39.99 a year-student rate--again never pay full price, find the deals)
NBC Gold $49.99/yr
(Monthly Sub Fees x 12 months) + (yearly Sub fees) = Yearly total
Total
($71.97x12)+(118.97)= $1092.61/yr or $81.88/mo

Compared to my current set up:
Cable internet package with assanine fee and box fees and other fees:

135.99/mo
21.98(All the monthly subs)
118.97(All the yearly Subs)
========
(157.97 * 12) + 118.97 = X
(1895.64) + 118.97 = 2014.61/yr or 167.88/mo.

(Current package) - (new package ) = cost savings per year

2014.61 - 1092.61 = $922

OR

A monthly savings of $86

$76 gets me 1 OMA membership ($25), 1 Open practice ($25) and 1 race Sign up ($25), 1 gate fee ($10) and a Snickers bar ($0.99) extra a year, with the penny going into my change bucket. I'll take it. Eff you cable.

Or since we all know I don't race anyway: $922 is almost three top and bottom end rebuilds on my 144. Only about half a rebuild if my husky grenades.....So, guess I better cut cable and get back to pro practicing and rack up the time on the hour meters.

Amazon firestick or Roku or Google Chrome and XBOXone all come with a remote.....no big change there. Get a jailbroken firestick and you'll be reliving your glory days of the 90s when you had that hacked cable box. Where you got all the channels for free. (Dont lie and act like you didn't have that set up)

Maybe you should call the cable company and demand it be like it used to be in the 90s....And why Ohio cable and internet isn't as badass today as it was in the 90s.....dial up was the s**t! And tieing up your phone line is how real men connected to the interwebs!

Firestick, use the remote highlight the APP. Select. Boom you're good to go. xbox has all the apps downloadable or pre loaded and you can pin them to your homepage. So easy. All shows on demand. No commercials. No fumbling with the stupid DVR recorder, fast forward and rewind and all that crap. No getting home to find out the DVR messed up and recorded UFC fight night and not supercross.....Watching hulu is nice, and it even makes you angry that you have to use a DVR if you're watching on cable.
