Indoor MX options?

Hey all,

I am finally going to break down and go somewhere to ride indoors. Not being a big MXer, I am not sure where all the indoor tracks are. Can anyone help?

I know of Earlywines and have heard of one down by Athens but that's about all I know.
 
if your not a big mx guy I wouldn't even bother going to an indoor track. But there is ram jam lorain ,ohio
 
I can ride MX fine. It's just not usually what I choose to ride. I'm a woods guy typically but even with studded tires, I don't want to ride when its 3 degrees. 20-30 degrees, I can deal with.
 
Ram Jam is top tier. Heated (warmer pits), breaks up practice by skill, lots of fun. Everything is safe, but still challenging you still have to time your jumps. Good practice to keep you in shape for spring. Switchback in PA is another option, fun and really mellow track,

I might make that trip once... It is 3.5 hours away. I was hoping for something near Central or Southern Ohio but it is, what it is.

What is the area like? Safe to bring a truck and toy hauler without fear of break ins, or should I just bring my bike in the back of the truck?
 
Fast Traxx runs a series in Jackson in Henderson's barn......sometimes I go for practice because I don't want to pay $30 for 1 moto format. Usually not too many guys at the beginning of practice so get there early and leave when you want

Yea they got me at a fair race 1 time. Paid like $70 for people to get in and race fees only to find out it 1 moto format. Never raced any of the events again. I heard one time last year he ran 2 motos because they had a low turnout
 
If you’re only staying for the day you can do it in the truck. I don’t trust anyone around my equipment, that being said my bike is insured so if it’s between me or the bike I’ll help the guy unload it and I’ll call the insurance company. For that area I don’t know what I would do, I’m in a van so I’m locked down pretty good. I see lots of rigs go in and out of there.

Hi, the track is located about 5 miles from I80 & 90, the property is fenced & the pits are inside and have some heat. I have people come in trucks, truck/trailer, toyhauler, motorhome & cars with bike hitches. As with all tracks you go to you should secure your vehicle when you are away from it. Folks even leave their trailers in our lot when they stay at a hotel, and some bring locks and leave their bikes in the pits over night. Its all your choice. Coming from someone who has lived in the area my entire life, bring a truck and your bike.

My stolen bike was found laying in the weeds at the metro park across the street years back lol
 
Summit indoor is coming up next weekend if you want to race. They have a good website with all the info.

Are you guys sure that they are still doing this? They stopped a few years ago. Have they started back up?
