HONDA HILLS ?????????

HONDA HILLS IS COMING BACK!!! After 17 long years, the gates will be opening under new ownership. The property has been purchased by Tanner & Bailee Wilson and Levi & Alisha Baker of Zanesville, Ohio.
Honda Hills will be bringing back all of the things that were once loved and more. Mother Nature has taken it's toll over the years and there is a lot of work to be done. We have already begun the cleanup process and can’t wait to have you see all the work that is being done. We pride ourselves in keeping the originality of the motocross track and what gave this place the prestigious status it had.
Rebuilding the motocross track will begin this summer and the grand re-opening will be in Spring of 2022. Along with Motocross, we will also have many other events on the complex. Be sure to stay tuned on our page to see what exciting things are to come. We are PUMPED AND READY to bring you a top notch event complex!!

If that is true, there will be 2,000 people there for opening day. There is so much history there, everyone will come out of the woodwork.

Would be nice to see them maintain the Honda Hill's heritage in keeping it an old school style track, that's not so hell bent on big and blind jumps, doubles and triples. Stay focused on fun and friendly, to riders of all ages and skill levels. I think it could be Ohio's centerpiece attraction for a huge annual Vintage/Post Vintage National event, outside of Mid-Ohio's Vintage Days. As well as running non-current to modern racing and riding.

I'm thinking they would need to specialize in that way to hold their own and co-exist with all the modern tracks that we have now.
The Freas/Kaercher households were ecstatic when we seen the announcement. My wife and kids loved being at Honda Hills.

I wonder if the land layout is such that they could still run GP's like they used to ? (aside from the land they sold off up along the road).

Stopped at Honda Hills a few months ago, took a walk back to track, couldn't find where starting gate was located but ticket booth and sign-up booth still there, Cool!

I will believe it when I see it. I can only imagine how grown up that whole property is. They could add a ton of saw dust and Manure for old times sake. Place had the Honda Hills specialist that could go fast there, and no where else. It was also one of the rockiest tracks around. Rocks dinging off your forks all the way up the start straight.

Probably just have to accept the rocks and hard pack clay going there. Take a hell of a lot to change that considering location. I don’t know that I consider that a curse really as much as just a different character trait of the track compared to others. Scenic Highlands was the same way, but was still a blast to ride and race. It always makes me think of the old pic’s and videos of Calfornia’s Carlsbad raceway.

I always felt like everyone was fast at HH. High banked turns, and no big jumps. It made everyone feel like you were shredding the place up.

Must have been their the next to the last ever race. Don't know if I felt like I was shedding? Had things fall off bikes at races but never me. The new to me 520 stayed together there and this was one place I managed not to stall it.

Looks GP or HS ready at this point.
Run you a dozer path through for a GP course and you'll be racing.
For MX.......a bit of work with the chainsaw, tractor, and a ripper-Dozer and you'll be packed pits and full gates before you know it.
