Buying a bike these days......

Sold my 450 after I blew out my shoulder racing unadilla amateur day...

Supply chain issues are crazy right now but I'm on a list for a 2022 YZ250 at Hardings that is supposed to come in December.

I just wonder if waiting until spring and maybe dealers would be caught up by then and try to cut down on some prices? But maybe there aren't any bikes left?

What do you guys think? Jump on the 250 or hold until things stabilize?

Tough call, as nobody really knows what is going on with the supply chain. I would not risk it. Just get the one allocated. Seems unlikely prices will come down that much in 6 months or so.

Jack.. i don't know if i would wait... i don't think prices are coming down at this point.. you may want to try Bob world of wheels in PA... super nice and straight forward on price when i got my 450.. u getting a 2stroke or 4 stroke?

DO NOT WAIT!!!!

Supply chain issues are 10x worse than what your hearing. A lot of companies are hoping to start catching up in 4th quarter 2022.

The ports are backed up by months. Raw materials aren’t shipping. If you have something coming in buy it. There are 20 other people looking for that same machine. BUY IT!!

its not going to get any better any time soon. jump on whatever deal you feel is fair at the moment, dont want for something better..probably not happening

Honestly I wouldn’t wait. Our local dealership we try to buy our bikes from told us they wouldn’t have bikes till next spring and they said if u can find it somewhere else go buy one. I think if you can find what you want somewhere else just go where the best price and where the bike actually is in stock

Have worked at a dealership my whole life and never seen it like this. It’s not getting better anytime soon and expect to pay MSRP. Just way too many factors screwing up supply. Good luck!

My shoulder is playing into this too a bit - 8 weeks out of surgery it doesn't hurt but it's very weak and motion is not all that great.

I just wonder when the bottom falls out of this thing and there is a massive backlog of yamahas that finally wash up on shore. LOL.

There is no end in site.. we have been told by all our big chassis suppliers this isn't going to end any time soon.. they have raised prices 5000 to 15000 above msrp.. if you don't want it tuff.. someone else will.. best guess we our looking for this BS to keep rolling into late 22 or early 23.

I snapped. 2022 got pushed back again and I couldn't take anymore. I hate walking into my shop and not seeing a bike.
Everybody should be at a snapping point over all of this !!!
I'm stunned that Americans have become so accustomed and conditioned into silent acceptance.
Where's the outrage, where's the fight and pushback? We are America for crying out load. Our claim to fame is our ability to get s**t done NOW!

We're all f**king sheep ..........

It's time for everybody to wake the hell up, and take it to Washington. Time to be creative in ways to get their attention that we are sick and tired of this crap and not taking it anymore.

While we have all of these cargo ships that can't get unloaded, sleepy-Joe Brandon is taking another Holiday weekend in Delaware.

And no I won't apologize for the rant! :):D

Going to pick up a 2021 YZ250 tomorrow at Sanders in PA.
If the 250 had received the needed changes like the 125 is getting it might have been worth the wait. I'd like to get a 22 125 but then took years to work the bugs out of the current long run model. Kind of wondering what quality control will be like with the current state of things?
