Pitracer life

mshafer62, . . . If memory serves me correct, that would have been when Yamaha of Columbus was on "the old" State Rte 161 near New Albany.
My profile says Aug 2007, but pretty sure it was earlier than that.

At the time I was looking and scratching for any info I could find where me and the boy could ride. Honda Hills was close to closing up, and some guys here in Newark put together a small riding track at Dry Creek, and I got to asking how all you guys are getting info/communication on places like this when they come up? Guy told me to check out the website called "Pitracer".

I went home and looked it up. Paid my $10 or $12, whatever it was and joined. To me it was worth every penny. I had my District 11 membership but knew there had to be better local community info than that. If you weren't following Pitracer, you were simply out of the communication loop.
Yes, Yamaha of Columbus was located just east of New Albany on Dublin-Granville Road, aka old 161

its funny that ive been around on here longer than most of the people that i thought were like the old timers... now im an old timer... i remember i had PR stickers on my 01 suzuki front fender so, I guess I've been around for a bit.

with no social media, this place really held ohio moto together.

i met a ton of amazing people from this website. not even so much my peers then and now, but a lot of the "older guys" that were probably younger than i am now, but were always so helpful. i remember destroying bikes and guys here offering help to fix stuff, giving me parts, few guys even letting me race their bikes when mine blew up every time i rode it.... most of them are still around and I know I could call any of them for anything at any time and they'd be there! Some are not (RIP SHARC!!!)

Bummer it's kind of in the state its in, but I know the effort required to run something like this and it's damn near a full time job and theres just so many other options out there now too.

This isnt my original account, i went on a 10 year hiatus from moto. I can remember following this site in the early 2000's. Really opened my eyes up to how many tracks(at that time) there were in Ohio and surrounding areas. The days before facebook other platforms took over. I remember paying the 10 bucks, every penny well spent. I remember a Pit Racer ride day at Scenic, it was nuts lol.
