You went just fine on your older aluminum CR 250 but just get an aluminum frame YZ 250. They are cooler.

Winter project this year for me has consisted of my new workshop. Just picking away at framing walls, hanging insulation, etc.
Have electric panel installed (thanks Smith) but no lights yet still using Xmas lights strung around the perimeter.
Polished/dyed concrete floor by RAMFS (SilverTec Flooring)
I installed a Hydronic Radiant Floor heating system. Pretty cool system. Not cheap. I had the company that built the barn (Yoder Barns) lay down all the piping and under slab insulation before the concrete pour and then I finished this wall and the rest of this system myself. If anyone wants to install one of these systems I'm basically an expert in this now LOL.

Did you purchase your boiler as a system or did you purchase it piece by piece.

The integrator panel was pre-made, then I fit the correct boiler and manifold for my application.

Diggin up and old thread.....been a while.
So, I bought this bike like 8 years ago. Started messing with it...had a few road blocks....Ended up getting another donor bike. More issues, got frustrated, stuck it in the back shed........................................for YEARS.
I've sold a lot of bikes the last couple years, so I figured this winter was it. Pulled it out, started working on it again. I had rebuilt the motor previously, but I never had the crank rebuilt....so tore the motor all the way back down again.
The 1989 - 1992 RM body style was my favorite look ever from Suzuki.
BTW I found out this bike actually had a DynoPort pipe on it...
Frame - powdercoated
Tank - sanded out, decals by Evo-MX. Also ceramic coated the bare spots.
Plastic - full plastic kit from UFO.
Pipe - sanded/painted DynoPort
Silencer - I think it's a Pro Circuit, it was unlabeled. Sanded it out.
Motor - replaced every bearing and seal. Every part inspected, new rod/bearing. Cylinder Nikaseal plated at std bore. Wiseco piston. Cases, ignition cover, clutch cover glass beaded and painted silver. Cylinder/head vapor blasted. New Boyesen reeds.
Carb - cleaned and vapor blasted.
Airbox - sanded down the airbox and ceramic coated it. New mud flap and new air filter
Radiators - new aluminum aftermarket.
Swingarm - stripped and sanded down to new finish. New decals.
Wheels - hubs, spokes, nipples stock vapor blasted. New SRT rims laced up. New rotors. New tires, tubes, rimlocks.
Shock - powdercoated spring, shock body and clevis vapor blasted, new seal.
Forks - silver painted lowers, all new seals, bushings.
Brakes - calipers and master cylinders vapor blasted and rebuilt with all new parts.
Pretty much every nut, bolt, part, is either new OEM, new aftermarket, or vapor blasted/restored.
It's not perfect, and I used a good amount of aftermarket parts so it's not a true OEM restore. But it's pretty friggin nice nonetheless!
Haven't put gas in it yet, not even sure I want to!
