W.T.M. - Weekly updates

Riding at Smokey pines mx in PA today. Wanted to check it out for quite a while. It’s actually a pretty fun track. Glad we made the trip. Nice to hit something different for a change

Great ride in the woods!

Hit up Honda hill’s yesterday for their buckeye series race and ran warrior/vet class. I haven’t ridden motocross since 2021 when i had my nasty crash. Haven’t hit jumps since then either. Just like riding a bicycle you never forget. Track started out nasty in the morning, but with sun shining and a good breeze track was awesome for the afternoon classes, and the crew kept prepping and working in the track to give us the best race track they could. There were 6 of us in warrior class, first moto grabbed the holeshot and was banging bars with another rider for a few turns, and i let him go, didn’t want to take a dirt nap. 3/4 lap later i caught him and passed him on the big double in the back. End of race is had 45 sec lead on him. Second moto was close to the same, holeshot same guy banging bars with, but beginning of lap 2 i passed him in the left hand turn after finish line tabletop, around the outside, 1:20 lead on him in second moto. I went 1-1 for the day and couldn’t be happier bc it was the 4 year mark of the crash that about ended my life. I guess running GNCC and multiple GP classes has really helped my fitness and stamina on the bike.

Similar - but -- it's dirt not sand.
Silt,... rich farmland silt..... it's a beautiful thing. Gota love them glaciers!!
Still, Run the scoop on the rear. Standard dirt tire up front.

Don't get freaked by the flatness of the drive.
It's in a field run-off area and has nice elevation changes.

You're going to love it - such a fun track.

Being dirt, it's faster than a sand track and the berms don't push out over the day.
The jump faces stay nice longer.
You'll get hardpack style chop along with breaking rollers.
They run a great program and it's an easy drive.
