Went to COCR for the first time ever. I just rode practice and then supported a buddy the rest the weekend. Track is easy and pretty fun, probably a little boring for the fast guys. The pit riding and parking is terrible there. I probably wont return just for those reasons.
Ill have to check it out if it is an easy track! Lol

It's a full-time commitment I'm sure operating a track with any type of quality. I mean, I can barely keep laundry and dishes caught up with a fulltime job and other life obligations. Thankful to have had some good years racing at BC!

Was there and left half way through round 2 of practice. Been there 3 times prior to race mx and really liked it. Jumps are easy (except for me that first double along the woods after the start for some reason), the track flows really well and normally a good crowd of vet guys. But this past weekend practice prep was terrible and more than half the vet practice were kids under 18. Don't know the track we'll enough to jump the 'easy' jumps when some faces are rutted from over watering or the areas immediately after the landings are 2' deep mud full of ruts. At 58 I dont need to get hurt based on poor track management.

I wasn't gonna say all that, but you did and i 100% agree with you. I've never been there so didn't know what to expect from track prep. I was out there in "vet" getting yelled at by some kid ripping. If your faster, just go around. Otherwise rev your bike at someone else.....

2 items from the weekend:

Regardless of anyone's posts. JO is going to do what JO wants to do.
Selfishly, I would hate to see BC close. But if he needs to do it, I understand.
When tracks close, it's an opportunity for someone else...

Agreed re COCR. Sure seemed like they did not put out their best effort.
That facility is ripe for updating. Maybe a takeover/operating lease?

Western Reserve MC - Double Points

No rain in..... Oh, I'm not even sure anymore. Rutted jump faces at western over the weekend, track changes, no dust, double digit vet class turnouts, meatball subs in the snack shack and I witnessed a pizza delivery at 10:35 pm. before the 250 shenanigan's.

Had the slowest crash ever when I told myself 'ride it to the finish'. I laid there a few, enjoyed the breeze, and rode it back to the truck still happy!

That place is putting in work and its freaking amazing!

I was at Western Reserve for practice Saturday and I thought it was pretty good. I thought the track actually got better by the 4th and final session for me, still moisture in the ground at the end and wasn’t muddy in the 1st session
