The Yamaha 125 is a great bike. The KTM has had crank problems and EFI problems since they have come out.

If you get a Yamaha 125, get this kit from Europe. It's a game changer for the bike. Carb parts that ARE NOT AVAILABLE in the US. It is that frekin' good!!!

The GET ignition is also very, very good. I also got a vhm head with a head insert to run on C12. I can win on this bike on a hard pack track against 30 year olds on 450's. And I'm old!

PS I have old bikes and new bikes from a few old 125's to a new 450. My 2024 yz 125 is my favorite bike.
What he said^ for 22 and newer. Get the needle 2-3 clip, head, 62 pilot, 165-8 main. We ran pro circuit pipe with stock silencer.

Jack actually just traded a 110 for a 23 YZ. She needs some work but he’s on it. It will be his first solo build besides a pitter. I’m sure old dad will have to step in a little. We don’t see eye to eye on things, youngins like to make them look pretty first, I build for fast. lol.

I really want to check lap times back to back on different bikes.

I highly doubt my lap times change that much 125 to 450.

Pape smoked local vets on a 125 for years.

$6.5k YZ125 vs $12k works edition 450. Pfff.

$5,500 - I could better spend on tires, riding lessons and a gym membership.

Or a better insurance plan. Maybe AARP for those older guys lol

This 125 I’ve had longer than all my kids. My oldest is 6 already…

…ride. Rinse. Wash. Rebuild. Repeat. Blanket over it while I’m busy. And she fired up 1 kick when I pull the blanket.

This bike’s lined up against future pros.
Been all over the U.S.
Vintage days.
The awesome 100-150cc class in the OMA.
I need to race it next year. A lot.

Better start yourself legacy bike JB….and the yz125 will do just that !
