PitRacer Posse Member Marc the Sharc has passed away

This is deeply saddening. RIP Sharc.

First, Christmas party’s with Sharc; holy s**t!

Second, “this is your place, you make the rules, if they don’t like, f**k em!” -Marc Baumann.
“You came..
You ate …you saw!, get the out!”
After dinner at sharks house!

2021 vet fest was my first trip for it. Posted on here i waa going for 3 classes. He told me if i made every lap of every moto he'd meet me with a 6 pack..

Heres the result. What you can't see, but i can still feel, is the chipped tooth i got from this bottle while i held it with my teeth to operate my clutch for the ride back. Lol

Rip to the. sharc ….Dude was always good vibes and loved Dirt bikes more then most ! I used to make fun of him and his smoke no matter where he was ..He had one lite up haha

No words.

He was so cool. I remember packing my gate for my dad when he raced 30+. My dad on his 94 cr250 and Marc sitting there next to him on the gate cig hanging out of his mouth. Full smile ear to ear looked at me said can ya do mine next?

Nicest guy. It’s gonna be sad not seeing the guy just around the pits.

RIP Marc. I can’t believe you’re gone. My favorite guy to share a day at the Cliff with.

Someone mentioned it already and I’m not quite sure where to look… but I’d love to dig up that pic of him next to the Caddy and repost it here.

He was so cool.
Yes, a very cool moto man but he let it be known that after starting with and getting away from horses, skis, boats and such were his thing too. His bad wheel shopping cart analogy always comes to mind when I get on an ill handling old bike or ski. He shared the best content on here and his shared history demonstrating so many things in common made it real. A 30 some page jet ski thread hijack years ago was epic. RIP Sharc, gone way too soon and definitely missed.

Wow,sorry to hear about his passing Marc was always a good dude to talk to at the track and also remember racing against him back in the day on 125's! RIP my friend

I think Dave smith or chuck day is the photographer. It will show up..

If someone wants to set up a ride day I’d be happy to help make a flyer or something to put up on social media.

I’m not sure if he left any instructions but I don’t think he would have been opposed to a ride day to remember him by.
I think that is a good idea! Let’s get the posse back together for a road trip.. like the picture of shark in front of the 22s. We go back to monster Mountain. Let’s pick a date.

Chatted quickly with Jeremy at Briarcliff (one of Sharcs favorite tracks) and looks like we can make one of the Oct 18/19th days and use it as a "Sharc Memorial Ride Day".

We'll have to hammer out some details and maybe vote on which day to make the Memorial day (obviously could shift due to weather I'd guess).

Wow. It saddens me to hear this. A shock when anyone we all know passes away unexpectedly. RIP Sharc.

Quick story, we were up at Baja in Michigan maybe 8 or 9 years ago. Sharc is there. Comes over to the trailer to ask me how I like the track. I proceed to tell him it sucks! He is like "you have to set your suspension up for this s**t! Chopper that M#&@er F@#ker out! Turn those clickers F#@king in about 6 clicks.....come on man, hear me, chopper that M@#&er F@$ker out!"! He proceeds to continue talking for several minutes dropping about 20 F bombs with my son and my dad who had never met Marc before. Marc walks away and all my dad could say was "damn....who was that guy"? Oh, that's just Sharc from Pitracer, lol.

Last time we talked I think was in Daytona at the Supercross in '24 I think.

Ride on in heaven Sharc.
