MERPs?

mansfield was a tough one, i think all of the new to the merp series facilities are providing some gnarly woods because of all of the fresh trails.

i like the challenge on one hand, but im not sure im into it anymore, ill probably finish out the year.. but its not very GP feeling anymore and feels more like torture in the woods with small break on the track. maybe the last few rounds will change my mind lol

I agree with you on the Mansfield GP. Moto track is fun, field sections were cool, woods were tight. I could have ridden the woods faster on my ttr 125. I rode B class session at 10 and got smoked by the fast young guys. It was nice though, I was by myself most of time and got out of there early.

Man Mansfield was rough. Separated my AC joint in my shoulder 2 turns into my first race. Kept racing only to wash the front end on roots and smack into a tree and break my left middle finger. Taped it up and raced Warrior at the end of the day, was leading and 2nd lap the hub broke on the rear. Racing the e moto bikes is fun, but damn they break ALOT.

I really like how the woods have been this year, Gives the woods guys a chance to shine that aren’t good at moto… and vise versa, but the woods at Mansfield were gnarly. Stoke run is the next round and they have trails already, and they’re wide, but knowing Steve he’s gonna cut in his own trails.

I raced the mx at Stoke last month. The new guy that took over the lease was there. I got the feeling that it is now leaning more dirt focus than skate park.

They have mx practice this Friday and COMX race Saturday.

The MERP should be fine from what I know. I'm grew up in that area, I'm sure I'll hear the chatter if anything changes.

I've lost interest to be honest. I was excited to do Burg, but I've just been doing so much MX for last year that I didn't have much fun in the woods. Maybe the Amherst GPs in the fall will kick it back into me.

I will say though, watching Romanyak and the other Surron dudes rip off the line in front of me at Burg really made me want one of those.

Steve Hinton has a nice one for sale!
