Man, pretty heavy day. Learned that one of my old riding buddies had had enough of this earth over the weekend. Im not sure who may remember guys from the late 90s, but Greg Myers who was originally from East Palestine, used to do alota racing in the spring valley days along with lots of Saturday nights at Malvern. He was 729 on a kaw for a long time. He actually had bought my 01 yz250f off me shortly before he stopped riding. Soon after that he moved to Florida. Met a lady, who became his wife, and they had a daughter together who is around 10 now. 20+ years we stayed in contact here and there just through text or whatever. Hed hit me up to talk ridin, id check in on him during the hurricanes incase his family needed anything, just BS'd. He text me at Daytona this year "yo me and pops are heading over, where ya parked" (he lived near tampa). Just like 20 years ago we hung out, watched races in between my motos, BS'd about life at the camper. Im so glad that dude text me. He had a kick ass job, good money, invested great, was in a good spot on the outside. I tried convincing him to buy another bike for fun but he hinted his wife wanted no part of that life. I heard it in his voice. Didn't register. Didnt know thatd be the last time id see him.

Moto dudes get looked over often. Supposed to be tough af, no soft spots. Mentally tough. However I know that's not always the case. Any of you fellow pit bitches get in a bad spot, reach out to a moto brother. Dont give up. Most of you have my cell or you're on my FB. Fkn call me, message me, i don't care how, just reach out. Even the angry trucker, idc who, literally anyone reading this... Just know whatever youre facing, its not worth doin THAT. Me and 30 other dudes on here will remind you why it's not worth doin THAT.

This stuff happens daily, but I've been fortunate its not been super close to home. This one caught me off guard. Apparently over 200+ other people who showed up to his service today as well.

Just thought id put it out there in this community, because its not something often talked about.
