MOTO BOOTS

I typically would be looking at the TECH 7 boots. Im a little sticker shocked so i started looking around. Obviously you get what you pay for. Im looking at some FOX MOTION boots? Any thoughts? reviews? Longevity? OR any other boot out there UNDER $500.00 in that same kinda quality level. My cheap ass thor boots SUCK. Looking to jump back on the track next year, the woods is getting old real quick hahaha

Ive tried alot. Im picky about feel and tech 10s were no good for me. Switched to tech 7s and i could feel more, but missed ankle protection. I switched back to instincts and i don't think ill ever not wear them sidis are too narrow, gaernes are too bulky. The motion is dang near the instinct as i bought a pair for my daughter. They get my vote. Or find a used like new pair of instincts on marketplace, mxlocker, or mxboot.com. I got both of my instincts for 300 or less and they were literally like new. Not even scuffs on the inside of the boot.

Ive worn instincts since 2021 and i love them. Bought a used pair of tech 10’s earlier this year from MxBoot.com and I’ll never go back. The tech 10’s are amazing. However, i picked up a brand new pair of tech 7’s still in the box for $200 off of market place, and a brand new sm10 era’s helmet for $375. Just keep looking and you’ll find some killer deals.

Whats the consenses on sizing? My shitty thor boots are pretty true to size. I feel like Ive tried the Tech 10's and im not a fan of the inner boot and the sizing was off to me. DO all these higher priced boots have those inside?

I've used O'neal boots since the 90's. I've liked that they have a couple of half sizes, specifically 10.5 that I wear.

I wear their top boots which are called RDX and have an ankle pivot and adjustable calf plate. No inner booty, but the inside is like wearing a quality sneaker. I haven't even used moto socks for years since the inside of the boots is so nice. I just wear regular calf height socks.

I have wide Fred Flintstone feet so I always wear size up in boots. I wear an 8.5 wide in shoes and I get 10.5 in boots.

Long-time Sidi user, both motocross and cycling.
Known for being a bit undersized; recent purchases have been correctly sized.
Best feature of the MX boot (SRS 3 Crossfire) is the no-bootie, replaceable sole, and almost all parts.

Regardless of which brand, do you have access to a place to try them on, such as Iron Pony?

I could go to a few places within 1 hr. ive looked at those places but it always appears they have the couple selections of mid tier and low tier but only one the most expensive boot. I never knew there were so many! I cannot assume the cheap line of boot will fit anywhere near the same as a more expensive one.
