brought this home sunday:rolleyes:

For us modern guys.....is that a Hudaka?

Most of it is a Hodaka Super Rat. Tank and front fender is wrong, missing the airbox too. But, the upside is it has an aftermarket Webco cylinder head and a GEM reed valve conversion.

Knowing Smitty, he got it for peanuts.

tank made by superstar of dallas texas and webco head on ebay now, spent 2 hrs at work scrubbing off the layers of mung and drull that covered entire engine cases and still not done, forks are toast, upper tree cracked both sides, lucky I still have a set of trees already detailed from another project, had spark and compression but would not fire, had wrong flywheel key that would not allow it to time right
paid more for it than I wanted but it is a model 93 instead of a 93A,dated 12/69 and I still beat the guy up on the price but not peanuts, looks to be a long term project, just need someone to buy the chaparral or the ossa to help finance this

Look up Franks Fork Tubes. They made up a set of tunes for my 71 TM400. They are in Indiana.

disassemble the engine to see what horrors lie there, has a stuffed crank ,never saw that before, getting everything cleaned up and ready for new bearings and seals, sold webco head and that plastic tank which puts me at zero for the bike, free motorcycles rule

Thanks!
details;1969 model 93 super rat, early webco head, unknown reed valve with spigot manifold 28mm mikuni ,filtron alum air filter housing, seat is from an alsport steens mini,ace100 tank, big trials tires were on the bike when I got it cleand hubs and spokes laced to a set of clean O.E. rims I had, incorrect low chrome bars until I figure out what to do with a set of rough correct bars Troyan gave me,back in the day exhaust trick is a VW bug stinger for silencer which also replaces the missing end of the chamber makes a great cackle

Looks great! Why'd you swap out the head and cylinder? The cylinder head in the "before" pic looks like a webco or one of Hodaka's racier versions.

Ahh...never mind, I overlooked your post that you put the head on Ebay.

I like the way the early head looks on that bike plus it came with a spare engine for half of what I sold the late hear for
