Please keep the bashing to other threads, we made it through the entire last year without getting deep on personal feelings.

Ahhh, the schedule's out. Alot of new tracks popping up, and was Midwest regional a thing last year or is that new?

I'm deff gonna be scooting over to Budds Creek. Why? It's a national track, its closer to home. The jumps are big big, which usually hurts me, but I love riding there so I'm going back for more!

Regionals are looking to Ironman and Unadilla. Hoping they run the national track at Unadilla! I haven't been to Ironman, regional there sounds like its going to be rough AF and ruts for days.

Midwest has always been a region. I want to ride unadilla since I’ve never been. Only downfall is all the areas are far away from me. Mideast is nice having two close to home chill town and route 62. Along with Ironman another track I’d like to go back to and close to home also. Excited for the new year and hopefully get some tickets

Making a return to moto racing in 2025 and going for 30+. Hoping that riding the woods the past 3 years will help me on the moto track. Fitness is there from doing 2 hour motos, just hope the speed is there and the fear of jumping is gone.

Hit up the pizza shop just south of there, first berg you come to. Maybe New Berlin? I’d go early, line is out the door by 5pm on Saturday. Probably my second favorite pizza shop in the country. Also, closest Walmart is like 40 minutes away, pack early and methodically.

Schedule out early -

Congrats on the YR !

Unadilla will be off the hook
Ironman is on my birthday
Spring Creek is a must do
Oak Ridge is on the list
Sunset & Casey too
Oh boy -!

Haven’t looked into the logistics of it yet but good to know. At spring creek I ran out of water and had to ride the grom 15 miles to get 24 pack of water and a big jug and rode 15 miles back with it. Not my best choices but good country to look at out there

Oh wow. All this time I thought jmo. Was Jeff mort. Hahah
He is jmo on vital but 443 lol..

Cant remember what i paid but it was cash plus a handle of titos for payment. First time i met Jeff lol..

To keep it Lorettas related, this was jeff morts lorettas bike, which ended up being his last trip there due to work injury. It was a barkin 450 for sure. Fresh off the couch n fat as hell i ripped a holey at BC area qualifier against lots of Lorettas regulars lol. (Think i did that on a borrowed yz250 once too there). Wasnt sure if it was the bike or that dhds01 washed my bike after practice..

Headed to Red Bud. Lot of guys in here have rode/raced there. Any tips?

Highly unlikely I make it past regionals but I got through areas a few years back at Pleasure Valley which I had not raced at either. Hoping to get to ride Ironman.

@tj131 If you have never been to Redbud, deff try to sneak up there for the April open practice before, it will help you significantly learning the track a little bit as most of the people that ride/race there, ride/race there all the time (locals).

The scoop vs. non-scoop is debatable and really just a personal preference when its dry. I have heard every opinion on what works and what doesn't but its nice to have one (scoop tire) with you incase of rain. You'll go leaps and bounds above those that aren't using one in the straight sections up near the start area.

Scoop was definitely on the list to look into

This guys anti scoop. Even in last years torrential downpour and 3' deep slop straights, i still did alright!

Buy a new race spec dunlop from Cory n save it for red bud!

Stiffen suspension a couple clicks. Dont let the place overwhelm you and break it up section by section in your head. None of the jumps are hard (ok, one may be but its not a jump for most lol). Send it.

I am a scoop guy (not that I’ve done anything on a bike worth talking about ever) - I run the scoop a lot and at tracks you probably shouldn’t be scooping.

BUT

I think it’s an advantage on the start and for first moto. Once second moto rolls around I think the MX34 is probably a better option.

Red Bud is a pretty easy track to remember - jumps are a non issue.

The hard part is going faster than the Michigan Mafia. They know the way around their home circuit.
