Ford technicians

Are there any Ford techs on here? Even better if they know powers strokes. I've got a few questions and of coarse the ole internets dumps so much info all end up being is more confused.

Ask Kris. He's learned alot about powerstrokes.. Or if you need a diesel mechanics number who I trust, shoot me a text..

My main issue is I have an 06 E250 with a 6.0 it will start then shut off within a could seconds. Here's the list of things my buddy has determined.

Cam sensor good
Crank sensor good
Ipr valve good
Fuel pressure good

Curious if anyone has any input on what to do next? Two new batteries too.

I have a buddy I mentioned earlier that is a 6.0 specialist. I see a different one in his garage like every week lol..

Yo Rheamus! Sounds like the problem I had with mine back when we were going to Otts house. It was the fuel/water separator. Had sum water in the fuel line.

I had a similar problem with a 7.3 I had BUT it ended up being the fuel tank on mine. The lining on the inside of the tank came apart and it was clogging up the fuel system once it started pulling fuel. My buddy is a long time ford diesel specialist and said he had never seen that before.

I sold mine 06 f250 with 32,000 miles on it. So I would not have this problem. Good luck.

My brother has a 2004 F-350 82K Miles and to use his words, not mine the 6.0 deisel motor "Dynamited" in it 45k truck didnt even last 100k miles

Power-Joke want a good deisel, buy a Cummins
The 6.0 by ford is a known POS motor. I would stay away from that as all costs!! The 7.3 on the other hand is probably the best motor they have ever produced. Good friend of mine does all the maintenance for a company that uses only the 7.3 power stroke and they have been know to get 500k miles if maintained properly.

I have a fleet of fords .. GM , government motors can kiss my ass. I also have a 15 Denali, garbage.
Since the Chevys are gone so are my monthly repairs. Chevy trucks ok at best.

Funny how people have good luck and bad luck with trucks. I work with some guys who's f-150 don't hold up nearly as good as the silverados

Thanks guys. It is funny how the 6.0 has a bad rap. I know of ones with 400,000 on them with zero issues. Mine have 140 and 280. Got 330,000 out of a 5.4. Pulled it from that decaying carcass of a van. Put it in another. It's now circulating around SoCal happily in an old mans handicap van with no issues.

Supposedly the worst diesel ever...still outsold dodge n chevy. 240,000 on mine and I do pipeline work and heavy highway. 330,000 on my brothers before tranny went, towed 14000# everyday for 7 years. Im not saying theyre the best but not nearly as bad as their made out to be.

My F 150 is pretty light duty and I do not haul more than 4000 pounds. but the Vans are E250 and E350 and kick butt. So if you are hauling a lot of weight maybe the Ford trucks are not as good.

Mt brother in law has had 2 F150s. Trouble with both. But then again, he tows too much weight for a 1500 truck in my opinion.
