Club PW

Ok so...

This year I had a lot of difficulty finding places for my son to practice ride for a few reasons

1. He doesnt like a track that is too easy, thats good because kids need challenged
2. Normally he is riding by himself at many places
3. Kids at his age on PW 50's are hard to find so the kids he rides with are generally on bigger/faster 50's.
4. He gets bored silly riding by himself here at home.

I figure I cant be the only parent looking for weekly practice time that is both fun and building skills for their 50cc rider.

So I am gauging interest in starting Club PW. A place for young riders to gather and build their abilities to become safer riders. Great form and riding knowledge build speed and safety. Plus they will have more fun riding with a group of other kids.

I will offer FREE riding one day each week at my house. For those of you who are unfamiliar the track here is great for kids of all abilities and can be used by section to work up to the more difficult parts of it. I can disc and water the track as needed also. I want to get a group of young riders together and practice. I can help with riding form and practice drills. If I get enough interest I am going to check into getting guest teachers also.

Any interest ??? Lets hear it.

Also I may entertain letting slower 65cc kids in as well. But the main idea here is to help 50cc young kids become better, more confident riders without the intimidation of larger faster bikes.

We are in. Once a month we can move it to my place. Also very kid freindly.
Same deal. Free with a little help with rocks and or water. It is easy with 65's and down.

Also set up a couple classes for beginners.

Great idea guys. If I did not live 15 light years away we would be there all the time.
We live in the damn 'burbs and Gunnar has no place to ride that is less then an hour away. Only time he is on the bike is the weekend and at this rate we will never develop. I have even posted a few ads on Craigslist trying to find land to lease/buy to build a 50 / 65 track and have gotten zero response.

Is there an age restriction or can Tony C show up on his KX65 too?
No age limit but your hair must not be all grey.

Where do you live? My son is 6 and went on Amherst Pee wee track for the first time last weekend. I would be interested.

Great idea Dave. Hopefully next summer I will be working closer. Brock loves your place. Can't wait to set him out on his 50.

we are having an end of the, season ride at our place in Hilliard. pw's,50's 65's. we have a pretty kid friendly track but easily enjoyable by more skilled riders. if anyone is interested in coming and riding with some more kids. send me a message.

1:00 til ???
we do have a few pitbikes guys coming. so if you dad's or mom's have a pitbike. you are welcome to bring it.

I have a track in Loudonville that I built for Kyle to ride his pit bike on but I filled in the doubles and the whoops so its safe for my boys 8 and 9 to ride 50s and 110s on. They love it and have been riding on it since they were 5 on JR50s. Its not a real big track but it flows good and has lots of jumps and corners to keep then busy and its so nice having a track in the back yard that they can ride anytime they want to. They rode for a couple hours Monday after school while I was mowing and doing yard work. If anyone is close to Loudonville and wants to check it out text me at 4196519608. Alan

I'm offended by you offering free track riding for kids. I demand you give equal free riding time to VET riders and also ATV riders. I also demand that you pay anyone working on your track a minimum of $15 per hour.

I do, once a year! But no pay for anyone !
