Malvern Mx Track Layout Changes

Lend me your bike and we have a deal Hershey ;)

I never rode to hit the table to table, but I know casing it would cause more damage than casing the new triple. And if I didn't believe I could clear the triple, I'd double it. Doubling it without landing into the face of the third peak. I believe this is often refered to as, "knowing your limits" or "utilizing caution."

Right, the same guy who said some one is going to break their ankles on it, an hour later some one broke both their ankles. When some one gets seriously injured the first night its a sign of things to come. Again, no skin off my back. I know my limitations. And this isnt negative input, its called thinking about safety and concern for Jason. In 4 pages of thread there's only one poster being a prick. Username rhymes with ..... eff that, I'll just be a man about it and just say you are a prick.
 
You should just stay closer to your end of the state. No sense in traveling all the way up here to the land of the number of spoiled Mx tracks. You're not chasing points anyway.
 
Statistically, more accidents happen when a track first changes its layout. Therefore, one rider over-shooting a new obstacle seems very probable and would be a safe bet of wagered. The section being refered to in this ,regard formerly a table to table type obstancle, was common for a number of time. Though not many accidents occurred during its later being, I'm certain that in its earliest stages the liklihood of rider accidents were higher. Just as this. My point, which obviously you're rounding over, was this new obstacle is safer. You either double it, or triple it. No shame in only doubling. As the track owner previously stated and the larger majority agreed, not every obstacle should be conquered by every rider.
 
I don't see where Hershey said anything about conquering the triple. His concern was for the short landing area for people that want to double, before smashing into the face of the triple if over jumped. I don't see an issue with bringing it up. It is funny how the people that are clearing the whole thing or think that they can can't wait to bag on the guys who don't. Kudos to you for being a better rider than others.
 
Agreed on taking the inside. I imagine it would be very close to double/inside vs tripling and going way wide in that corner.
 
Apparently I am incorrect in my opinion. My apologies to the riders whom struggle doubling a triple.

Regardless, I am supportive and excited about the track changes at Malvern. I look forward to seeing how it races on May 21st!
 
I guess my question would be why would the face of the 3rd jump need to have a steep face? if your tripling, you could care less about the face of the third jump. If your doubling why not make it safe for people jumping into it?

Similar complaints came at CTMX from people not jumping the middle step up. The take off had a sharp back side, and you went into a steep face on the step up. Was not a fun jump at all if you were rolling it.

Well if you didn't jump the table to table your not going to do the triple. It's using your best judgement. Personally I think the changes are great. Changes at Malvern have been way overdue and Jason did an excellent job on them! I mean it's like a new track who doesn't like a new place to ride? It's a challenge and we need more tracks like that in the area. And as far as the turn outs go I can guarantee that these changes will only increase the number of riders/spectator the come out to Malvern. But i don't know that's my opinion! Maybe the experts know best!

EXACTLY YOUR OPINION the same thing Hershey was giving, Dang dude. You come back into the scene and talk yourself up to be some bad@$$ but have no bike to back it up, or even past results!!! You havent seen the changes and your gonna get on here and talk smack on other riders who have rode it? When you get a bike and ride then you can let that do the talking, until then stick to announcing. I think the way you talk you should be a A rider, but in all reality i think its all talk. Anyone can be a keyboard warrior and talk the talk, but can you back it up......... ON THE TRACK THAT IS not with fists.

That's the main thing I noticed watching last night. Kinda rough on the guys just doubling the triple unless they were spot on perfect. Might not be a bad idea to smooth the transitions in between the single to double and the double to triple. Kid on a mini quad overshot the single to double pretty hard and was down for a bit. Guys tripling were having a hard time getting slowed up before the turn. Might not be a bad idea to have a berm there, or maybe take a little off the top of the triple so they don't have to jump as far/fast into the turn. Definitely liked all the changes though and can't wait to get out there and try it out!
 
Why is it even an issue that someone takes a different line or has a hard time making the turn after they huck the whole thing? Seriously. Does the fact that completeing a section of track being difficult need to be a discussion? Is this not motocross? Or does everyone need a trophy and an icecream after practice?

No bike is in my future. And my health prevents me from pursuing to ride again. A decade ago I hung up my Alpinestars for a pair of ground thumping military boots.

Nowhere in this thread have I threatened to physically back up my grounds. Since you know I am an announcer, you'll know where and when I'll be at the track and you're more than welcome to come at me with your comments, opinions and insults following the event.

No but you sent me private messages physically threatening me. And it seems you almost do to MMR as well here. Violence over an opinion is not cool.

And Meister is dead on....there was a group of us talking all this at the track weds and no one got upset. Jason was even there for part of it.
