Detroit sx

Me and a buddy are going this weekend it's the first time I've been to a supercross and I was wondering about the "pit party" when do the pits open and is it just bring a empty monster can and get in? Also do they let you in the stadium to watch practice? Also if any one has any suggestions on things to do or where to eat in Detroit that would be awesome.

No pit party in Detroit due to lack of space. Most big name riders have their rigs parked out back and on side streets. You need an industry pass to get in that area or sneak pass barricades and security guards.

Ford Field is open for all practices. Go sit in the "industry seating" area for practice. No one will stop you and you will be sitting around a lot of riders and their families.

The Detroit sx does not have a pit party. Gates open at 12pm for practice and qualifying. Lots of good places to eat down by the Greektown Casino.

Last time I ubered in Detroit was with Meister. It was sketchy. Haha. So was the garage we parked in.

I only ever hit day trips to Detroit. No reason to stay in the city. Yuck.

Greektown is fun. I haven't been back to Indy since Detroit became a venue.

I've been going to Detroit ever since the first race there. I always Pay to park close to the stadium and have never had a problem. But on that note Pontiac was a much better set up with the pits and amateur day on Sunday!!!

Been to DET SX a few times AND ALL HAS BEEN GREAT. Google-up Slow's BBQ in "Corktown" area, 5 mins from Ford Field. Great BBQ and cold brews. Plan for there being at least a 20-30 min wait for a table.

I saw the BBQ joint I was thinking about trying whalburgers it's in Greek town I believe once my truck gets to the hotel parking lot it's not leaving going to take advantage of uber is anyone else going?

Been to Detroit a few times. Stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown a few blocks away. Plenty of places to eat. No issues. Last time we took a cab (mini van)to the stadium a few blocks away. Some Iraqi guy driving. Nice guy, told us his brother was US military. Seemed to love America, we joked around with him. He even told us to meet him right after the race in a certain place and he would be waiting on us. Sure enough after the race, there he sat ready for us. I guess being nice to the guy, and giving him a nice size tip was worth it.

Alright dungeys implodin'. The tortoise must be pushing 155, end of his life expectancy.

If you're battling with killsapps there's a problem.

He's going back to his 2014 ways. Hanging up behind riders for a couple laps. Once he got around millsapps he checked....but he's gonna have to start making contact or whatever to get around the top 5 faster if he's gonna have terrible starts.

Some of the best racing of the year. The 250 battle was great. Ferrandis is fast but appeared to have nothing left in the tank 3/4 of the way through. If he gets in better shape he will be hard to compete with.

I got to thinking last night - have we seen Dungey's wife since he had the back injury last year? She was always floating around on all of the off track interview stuff and I don't think I have seen it this year at all. Could it be she is in his ear or maybe she is pregnant? I'm pretty sure they don't have a kid. Just seems like something is in his head lately.

Wouldn't be the first guy to have the wife decide moto isn't a good thing to do!

Reed didn't look like he was backin' off on the start. Either was gonna get the holeshot or crash trying, and he did the later. with Dungey to his right, unless he's in front of him, there wasn't too much else he coulda done.

My wife has been telling me that since I met her in '82! lol! Only recently has she been actually changing her way of thinkn', and actually encouraging me. Though come to think of it, I've got good life ins., and worth more dead than alive. I think she wants me to have a stroke or heart attack or something while riding :(

Once again Dungey went from near last to podium, and you guys think he's falling apart. That was a great ride, and millsaps had his best ride in 5 years. If you don't start up front you don't have a chance, and luck is at least 50% of the start in a supercross. It's going to be a great battle to the end hopefully.

Nah....she would prefer an accident so that the AD&D kicks in on your life policy and pays her double!!
