ONLY 2 MORE DAYS UNTIL OUR SEASON FINALE MX WEEKEND!!! We will be utilizing our NEW transponder scoring system! A modern and affordable system to both the venue and the rider! ANYONE PLANNING ON RACING SUNDAY will be required to purchase an RFID Transponder for $6. Zip tie that bad boy to your fork tube, completely waterproof, lasts 5-6 years, good at any of our events including MX, Harscrambles, and Members Only Club Races! This tag can also be used at any other track utilizing MotoSponder RFID Scoring system! Wanna see your practice lap times during Saturday's Open Practice? Register for a transponder and you're in!!! That simple. Please plan on signing up a little earlier than your typical routine to give the sign up staff ample time to get you registered. Any questions? Let us know! See you Saturday braaaaaaaaaaap!

Cool, SVR is shaping up to be one of the best tracks that nobody knows about if you guys keep this up. Every race it's something new to make it better. See you guys Saturday!

The high performance rfid systems are used for motocross, harescrambles, flattrack, karting and Sprint cars. A basic system cannot handle the speeds or the track width but that's why we didn't get a basic system. We plan on still manually scoring this weekend in case of any issues.

don't know. How do GoPros help? People can buy a $450 GoPro but will pass on a $6 statistic generator that feeds out your lap times ? Still don't have an answer on how it helps the sport.

You create your own database of riders in Motosponder, in does not interface directly with the database that the OMA (or any other organization) uses through trackside.

In the past at our MX races, we would scan existing tags at sign-up in Motosponder and the rider info would pop right up. Unfortunately, Connie would then have to double enter the rider info into Trackside's OMA database because the two databases won't interface.

It is a hassle, so much so that we decided not to run transponders at our last MX race. Connie brought the OMA kiosks for sign-up and we hand scored.

Motosponder is a must for our flat track races where riders are finishing within a second of one another. For hare scrambles it is nice because you can look at lap times if you believe someone is cutting out a good chunk of the track to cheat (who would do that?). For MX it is nice for having lap times, but it's not a must. A lot of money was invested in the hardware and software a few years back so it's nice to be able to use it for everything, but it's not becoming practical for OMA MX races.
