Tracks of yesteryear

MG1

Noob
Just came across this while going through my file cabinet. I cut these pages out of MXA. Not sure of the year. Brought back some good memories

Guessing mid 90's

Edit: maybe not - I see, visit us on the web... so that rules out the 90's..

Your guess of mid 90's is probably accurate. AL Gore invented the internet circa 1989. OK, Tim Berners-Lee created world wide web (www) in 1989. He developed the first server, first browser, and HTML protocol in 1991. The internet was going strong by the time Jennifer Ringley created jennicam.org in 1996. So it does look like mid 90's would be a good estimate.

I will (now) go with late 1999 or 2000, if you look at the number plates in the Hinson ad, they are 1999 championships.

No way that's 99 or 00. wrong color too.. He wore fox those years as well. Sinisalo and all red was before 95 I believe. I'm guessing late 93 or 94.

I would say it had to be after 2000. I didn’t ride from 1992 - 2000 so I doubt I was buying MXA in between those years but who knows - maybe that was what inspired me to get back into mx. Anyone remember when Racer X ran that article calling NE Ohio the “SoCal of the East” (or something like that)?

Wayne County only existed for a year or two, tops. I say around 1999 to 2001. I remember that feature in MXA too. Very cool!
