Bucket list

We stayed in Grayling. We rode Kalkaska one day and Frederic the next. So many trail systems up there!
I know that area well. We used to stay in Waters at Lake Guthrie, when we would snowmobile up there. Then ride the whole area between Grayling and Gaylord. Fredrick, Lovells, Twin Lakes, the bombing range.

Looks like several of you have done some Michigan trail riding. Can anyone recommend a good place to camp where you can access some good trails? Prefer dispersed camping as compared to an organized campground, but open to either. Looks like there are a lot of trails up there!

Kalkaska and Frederic both have good sized lots at the trailheads. There were a couple of campers set up and camping at the Frederic trailhead.

A big crew of members from Western Reserve go up to Michigan every year in the fall for a trail ride - maybe one of those guys can chime in.

I blew a trail trip I had planned from my concussion last year. We were looking at Gladwin and Leota. Try again this fall!

I am heading up to Michigan for a sprint enduro at Battle Creek here in a few weeks which I’m looking forward to.

If you know Blaine or Landon Armbruster, they always take a big group on a Michigan trail ride every year. Might ask them where to go.
