So for all the GP Alumni, What's best? an early session? Class #4
Then stick around for Class # 23?

Or #23 and then # 37?

If the YZ ran I'd do #2 in the A.M.

First we don't speak of class #'s but use session time with a class title. I've ridden all sessions but now I usually ride an old bike at 11:00 and the 50+ at 3:00. In the time between sessions I have lunch, watch some races and rest. And I still spend half the time that I would at a motocross.
Fix the YZ! But the 125/200B is a bunch of fast kids. And the Open at 11:00 is a catch all class with pros in the mix.

I've always ridden Open in the first session but there are super fast pros in there that lap me. I might try the 125/200B class this weekend.

Then I hang around and race a Vet class if I feel like it. Usually I have to take a couple Alleve in between to make sure I don't have rigamortis by the 3pm session. Eat lunch, take a nap, hang out. I'll have the camper at these races so that break between sessions is a lot more comfortable!

I don’t really care in what position I finish as long as I’m in one piece and still on the bike. More trying to figure out when the track will be most enjoyable to ride. I’m super skeptical about the whole thing anyway. I only did one harescramble in my life (and hated it). I like speed, to keep flow, my feet off the ground and the wheels in the air.
But, I’ll give it go at Beans and see what’s up..

I'd suggest the first session unless there is rain that would cause that to be the muddy session of the day.

Sharc, I'm the same way as far as hare scrambles go. They always seem to put something in just to make life miserable. Most GP's are more like a long natural terrain MX track, maybe [hopefully lol] not as much air time as you may prefer. There has been quite a bit of talk about these races, hope the turnout is great, and a good time is had by all.

DMX153 and I will be there. Im only running the 11 session so I cna come home and work on my track. Normally I would also do the 3 pm session also. These things arent normally as tight as a hare scramble but Im not familiar with the trails at Beans.

Sounds like a bunch of us will be doing the 11:00 session. So what Heavyweight B rather than Open?
Do they water? trails too?

Count me in for the 11:00 session too. I have not raced in several years. Looking forward to it.

That was the one I was going to do, Heavyweight B along with 40+ at 3:00, but guess what? Not doing any now. Just going to stay home. :(

Have fun all!

We got a little much needed rain today and I am so pumped. I can now take the skidsteer through the trails without worrying about dust to make it wider in places. For once weather is on my side as 68 degrees on Saturday is perfect!

Stayed out till 9:00 last night with the bobcat on tracks widening the woods. I must have knocked down a big nest of bees because Jeff & Chase Ricker and Hunter Dendler got lit up! It was pitch black in those woods other than my light when all of a sudden they come flying by me doing some kind of chicken dance. I was like what the heck scared them lol. Hunters head was so swollen so they headed back not knowing how to get back. Guess it took like 45 minutes and the ended up at BJs neighbors house. It's the weirdest feeling being deep in the woods not knowing how to get back. Thanks to the rain the woods are killer right now and I built an awesome grass section way in the back field around the gas well. Their is a lot of woods more than MX but it flows really good so it will be good. Cant wait for first moto tomorrow!!!!

OMA GP Series update......we are allowing everyone one throwaway race, so we will count your best four finishes. Also, round 2 at Action Sports will require AMA memberships as Drew is an AMA track. Something that I def. overlooked. I did find out today that they do offer a one day AMA membership for $20, a family of three membership for $99, and all kids 12 and under memberships are just $29. OMA memberships will not be required at the Action Sports round, but will be required at all of the other tracks, and will be required for series awards. We will be selling OMA memberships at round 2, if anyone wants to become a member there and finish the rest of the series.
