GP Series coming back for 2022.....

MERP update

Rough loop is done at Beans - I rode it and had about 4 mins in the woods. A lap on the moto is about 2 minutes so we're hoping to around a 5.5 to 6 minute lap for the average guy.

Woods need some tweaking to get the flow down - probably have (5) 8 hour days for 4-6 guys cutting trail - it has been a lot to say the least.

The course varies from wide haul roads - to sections with 2-3 main lines between trees which we plan to ribbon on both sides and let you choose your own way. Only tricky section I see so far is the drop into the valley and coming out of the woods on to monster mountain. Coming up its an off camber hill but has two plateau's that let you gather yourself. Nothing crazy.

Next step is to widen up the corners so it doesn't feel as notchy and rake/leaf blow the whole course. Ribbon will be going up probably next week - next open practice we are going to slap a go pro on a fast guy and get a course preview up.

Kinda curious if beans was going to change the track before the races this year. Seemed like I went on a bad day there but overall still seemed very follow the leader type track with very little passing opportunities. I might be wrong and have a different opinion but just seemed tight and hard to pass

I think BJ has some changes coming but nothing major. On practice days if its a light crowd it can get one lined - but that's if people do not venture out into the deep stuff. Beans is wide and I think almost every turn has a good inside and outside.

Somedays riders never go cut the lines in. I'm kinda of bias though I love beans.

I have always been told it’s a good track and good prep but I don’t see it as a good race track. I didn’t see very many spots where you could venture off and go into different lines to make a pass without losing time. I could be wrong just my personal thought from going there one time. Also I probably went on the worst practice day they had all year which sucked but I was told in summer it’s way better

For Immediate Release:

After careful consideration we have revised our race day schedule - we think these changes will have a positive effect on how our race program flows for our staff and most importantly our racers.

All of our motocross tracks are prepped deep in the morning. With this in mind we decided to push back the Pee Wee bike class to give the track time to work in and allow for a reasonable surface for the mini warriors to do battle upon.

In addition this revised program gives more time for the big bike competitors to rest in between racing multiple classes if they choose to do so. Racers will have ample time to fuel their machine and themselves before heading to the line for the next race.
